Manager, Mary Jones, would not honor the price on an article of clothing that was on a 65% off rack. She said someone must have put that shirt there where it didn't belong. The rack was full of the same brand. How are customers to know?

I went looking for a pair of shoes to wear for my wedding. A man named T was there and helped me every step of the way. He brought me things I liked, and things he thought I might like, and I ultimately got exactly what I was looking for! He says he is the shoe guru and he really is!

Dear patrons, be warned - the store employees will pull you aside (not privately) and question your integrity by looking through your belongings for very little reason. Even though they asked, and were denied, no less than 4 times to “Are you sure you didn’t 'pick up' any sunglasses?” That must not be a sufficient enough answer. The store employee demanded I show the contents of the tote I was using to hold items I intended to purchase. She then wanted to see my personal purse, as she believed that must be where these “sunglasses” were. After finding nothing, she is still not convinced. She then wants to see the contents of my other shopping bags. First, from The Buckle. I proceeded to take out the first bag, which had only blouses (with the receipt). This is still not enough, so she asked me to remove the contents of the second bag, which had only 1 shirt (with receipt). Even this was not enough, because she actually asked what was under the shirt in the H&M bag. The process was very demeaning and uncalled for.

Dillard's you scored a very nice new team member with Jarod in the Men's department. My first experience with Jarod was at his previous employer and what a loss for them. He is professional, knowledgeable and very kind. Sunday after we arrived at Dillard's he helped me find the correct style of pants and vest. The style of pants that I needed were not in stock but he was able to order those online, no problem. With his skill set he was even able to take my measurements and pin my vest, which saved me an extra trip to Lexington. It was a one stop shop for me with no anxiety or pressure. My whole experience was great. I look forward to doing future business with him here.

Wonderful assistance from Schella G. She was assisting 3 customers at the same time and we all received personal attention. Schella definitely knew the merchandise and was extremely helpful. What a surprise in today's market!

When I left McAlpins they wanted me to work in Dillard's, naturally since that's who bought them out. I said no. I went to Lazarus where the new department store mgr was from Dillard's, Mr. Bob! Loved him, easy to work with. A supervisor from old McAlpins was working at Dillard's would come in Lazarus and beg me to come to their store and work. I stayed there, they changed names to Macy's. Then later I was lain off. Loved working there, as coupon lady, sometimes helping up in the office. Still shop there..

I have been going to Dillard’s Salon for over a decade. I had an excellent hair stylist and nail tech. They did a wonderful job. They have excellent color specialists.
However, the front desk people are incompetent. The receptionist refused to schedule an appointment for me. She told me it was because I complained about a recent visit. (I just wanted some more highlights put in my hair.) She refused to help me.
The receptionist told me she could not schedule an appoint for me at any point in the future unless I spoke to a manager first. I asked if she could schedule an appointment for next week. She said “no.” I asked if she could schedule an appointment for next month. She said “no.” I asked if I could get in at any point this year. She said “no.”
I confirmed with her that I would pay for the service, and did not expect the service for free. She said she could not schedule me for a return visit under any circumstances unless I first spoke to a manager. I told her I don’t need to speak to a manager. I just want an appointment. She refused. (I did NOT want to speak to the manager. I just wanted to pay to have more highlights put into my hair.) I was on speaker phone and my husband heard all of this with disbelief. He doesn’t want me to go back.
The receptionist led me to believe that my hair stylist no longer wanted me as a client. This totally humiliated and embarrassed me. Then she told my hair stylist that I was angry at her (the stylist) and demanding. None of that was true. The receptionist damaged my relationship with my hair stylist by not telling the truth and creating big drama that was not there.
All I wanted was some more highlights. The entire thing became absurd. I don’t like drama. I’m not going to pay for drama because some receptionist likes to create it. (It really felt like she was taunting me.) I canceled my Dillards card. I will never buy another thing at Dillards, nor will I return to that salon. I understand that I’m just one family, and Dillards could care less if we shop there or not. I just can’t believe they don’t train their staff to be more helpful with clients and buyers.
