The past two times I have been in this store, I showed up right around 805-810pm and BOTH times, they have rushed everyone and locked the doors because they wanted to close at 830pm, instead of 9:00pm, which is what Google and the front door says… 9:00PM!!! There have been several people get locked out and turned away, even before 8:30pm. Bad business practice. There are other Dollar Trees in the Lexington area that lie over the intercom and say that the store is closing 10-15 minutes earlier than the actual closing time. I can’t speak for all in Lexington, but multiple. At least 3. This site gets two stars because it does look clean… cleanliness doesn’t matter if you can’t get in the doors though… or you are rushed out the building, making you feel like it’s your fault for some reason. When I worked retail, we didn’t lock anything up until the clock hit the closing time. Anyone in the store were then told that the store is closed and they have to be in line ASAP. If someone walked in at 8:59 and we closed at 9:00, they got one minute to shop before they needed to get in line. We ONLY closed early on holidays (which are still posted and scheduled) or an ACUTAL EMERGENCIES. If employees needed to go home, management picked up the slack. This time Dollar Tree had no real reason to close. The cashier said she was in OT, but there was still someone stocking the shelves as well as a manager that could have covered. Closing time did not mean you left at closing time, that’s when you started and/or finished up closing the store, counting down the drawer(s), etc. People working retail shouldn’t even complain about closing time… stores close EARLIER THAN THEY EVER HAVE since Covid happened. Any retail I worked, closed at 10 or later. You were usually there until 1030 or 11:00pm when you closed at 10. Heck, high schoolers could work up until 10pm due to labor laws, so they rarely stayed until close… businesses and people did what they had to do to treat people the way they would like to be treated. It’s all about the employees priorities now.

It's a $1.25 store, it has most everything you need. Even some stuff you didn't know you needed.

I was very happy with this dollar tree on Sir Barton Way, they had everything stocked on the shelves, they were very helpful & I found everything I needed to buy. I was displeased with the Dollar Tree in Park Hills shopping ctr, it was not stocked & did not have everything I needed. I will be back at this Dollar Tree to shop, I will not be going back to the dollar tree in Park Hills shopping ctr.
