My experience with these people was appalling. While I am the first to admit that technically, they did a really good job with my two Himalayan kitties, they were rude, gave us the wrong address (as you can see the Leestown address is not listed on their website) and then complained repeatedly that we were late arriving. They also complained when we were unable to pick them up immediately as this was in violation of some unstated policy. We had verified the $100 per cat charge before the owner went on vacation. They charged us $140.00 per cat, even though we questioned this. They were dishonest and abusive and we are reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

Due to a physical limitation, I am unable to continue cutting our dog's nails, and they were desperately needed. We called and Kelsey said she could fit us in. We arrived with four groomers busily at work. Less than five minutes later, Kelsey had our dog clipped. Definitely coming back.

Made an appointment for today in person on Friday no one disclosed to me that I needed to have proof of rabies shots the they said the tag wasn't enough I asked if I went home and grabbed it and brought him back that we would have to reschedule for another day everyone knows groomers are backed up and behind right now and animal owners are frustrated they never said sorry for not telling us what we needed or nothing I think they just wanted to pass on my husky ? I ended up getting him taken care of today thanks to a pet groomer off southland dr here in lexington with out rabies paper just the tag was good enough for them

My dog required vet care after being groomed at Rainbow Pet Salon. He had no hair on his face, his ears were bleeding, he had strings of hair hanging from his ears and his tail looked like a lion. He was unrecognizable. I tried to discuss my concerns with the staff and was told to leave.

My wife has taken our small doodle twice now. The first time was okay, they had her for 3 hours. She came out looking good. We were happy. This past time was a nightmare. We dropped our dog off at 10 am and did not get the text to pick her up until almost 4 pm. When I got there she was still wet. I know my dog does not take 6 hours to dry. Her cut was choppy and they did not follow our instructions. After taking her to the vet for redness in her sanitary area it was found that she has severe "clipper burn". This is negligence on the groomers part. When I addressed the time and how she was still wet I was met with rudeness. The staff is unorganized, the place is gross, and we will not be returning.

Since the new management took over a year ago, this dog grooming place has gone downhill. They recently canceled my appointment, which I booked three months in advance, and told me to find a new groomer. They lack professionalism and are only thriving off of the reputation of the old owners. Their stubbornness, disorganization, and lack of talent will put them out of business in the next three years. Paying $70 a cut with this service is unwise. I would happily pay $150 a cut for the old management to return.

They had my dog for 4 hours, she was still damp and losing hair, still needed more deshedding. They only trimmed her butt hair and feet. And you can see the cut marks from the scissors. Chop job! Seems they overbook appointments because they didn't have time to spend on the dogs. And charged me over $100 basically for a bath and brush. I had to take her to another salon to have them fix her! I will not go back. I will learn to do it myself before I take her there again.

I took my baby here to Kelcie and it was wonderful! We were trying a new place after a bad experience somewhere else. She took very great care of my boy and had a long conversation with me about the grooming process and everything I wanted. All of the staff in the building was very helpful and enthusiastic about making sure things were done correctly. I will definitely be back, and I can tell my pup had a good experience :)

I took my dog here for a bath and a nail trim. She has very short hair. The girl was very nice and she was done under 30 minutes. A complaint that I have is that I have never paid over 35. for this. $70.00 plus tip for 30 minutes of her time is way too expensive.I will NOT be back.

We adopted our Aussie doodle, Luna, from a rehoming/rescue situation. Rainbow was able to get us in the day after calling about an appointment as she was extremely matted. We were so happy with the thoughtful care she received and that she was able to go home feeling so much better. Rainbow gave her a fresh start to becoming a happy and loved girl, we can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I are pup-sitting and wanted to surprise my stepdaughter and her boyfriend when they return soon from a month-long trip out of the country by taking their little one-year-old bichon-poodle-mix to get her first proper grooming.While she is used to getting regular home washes, blowouts, brushing, and trims, she's never had a professional service. So I went online and called to find one that could fit us in and meet our pricing and service needs. Rainbow Pet Salon was reasonable, affordable, and accommodating.We arrived on time but were confused about the location at first. The sign on the building says Earth Dog, but it is the Rainbow Pet Salon. The address and information on the door matched the confirmation I received. Also, as of this writing, their website is not linked to their Google Business Profile. I've submitted a suggestion that they add it. The website has good information about pricing and policies, including how working times with dogs like ours (poodle, doodles, etc.) can be longer due to their coat types. Also, you are required to provide vaccination information.Kelcie was polite and attentive and explained how the entire process would go. We had the option to stay and watch or go and pick her up after. Given this was her first visit ever, we ended up staying, sitting in the car outside. The entire front face of the building is made up of windows so we can watch everything. The entrance doesn't have much of a waiting area. Per Kelcie, pups act up way more, like how toddlers get fussy - when the parents are within eye line. We watched the entire process and found the dog was way more cooperative in our seeming absence. For those nervous like us, needing peace of mind, I would trust leaving her there and picking her up next time.After two hours of washing, trimming, and brushing the copious amount of fluff, she emerged with an adorable, well-groomed, happy little dog. She was freshly washed, sans ~3lbs of fur, clipped and filed claws, and adorned with a cutesy Halloween-themed bandana she insisted on wearing for two days after.Kelcie gave us some excellent advice on what types of brushes to use on our little lady, given her coat type to prevent tangles.Ultimately, I was delighted with the service and professionalism the Rainbow Pet Salon provided. Our pup looks fantastic, and the stepdaughter liked the pictures. She says she'll likely put her on a grooming schedule with them moving forward.

I think this salon is new to the area. I was visiting from out of town and needed a groomers for my cocker spaniel and old english bulldog. It was a little pricey but nothing else was open on the holiday weekend so I was appreciative of the availability. I asked for my cocker to be shaved down completely. She was left at a level 3 or 4. I sat with it over night and decided $80 for jus for her cut to be different then what I asked for was not ok. I called and left a vm the next day. Someone called me back on Tuesday and was totally understanding. Great customer service. They refunded me the amount and offered a credit for the next service. I docked a star for the hassle and overall price.

I have brought all my fur babies to Rebecca and Madison (Owner/Groomer) for almost two years. I have always had a wonderful experience. I started with the two at their previous job before venturing to run their own business. I knew it would take them a few months to get their feet wet since that usually happens with being new owners in a new location, new software, new employees and first-time business owners. They do such a wonderful job. I have two golden retrievers who receive show cuts and both my Maine Coons have had to have mats removed and nails trimmed. No issues. Love this place ?
