Hours: FoodChain is a Lexington, Kentucky nonprofit forging links between community and fresh food through education and demonstration of sustainable food systems. From our indoor aquaponics farm and Neighborhood Green Grocery to hands-on cooking and food literacy education, youth programs, workforce development, and fresh food access, we work to build a more equitable and resilient local food system. We partner with Kentucky farmers, schools, nonprofits, and neighbors to make fresh, local food more accessible while creating opportunities for people of all ages to learn where food comes from, how to grow and prepare it, and why local food matters.
