Goodwill, a seemingly charitable organization, has long enjoyed a positive reputation in the public eye. However, behind its benevolent façade lies a corrupt non-profit empire that shamelessly exploits both its customers and its supposed mission of helping those in need. In this expose, we will uncover the truth about Goodwill, revealing its exploitative practices and exorbitant pricing that leave consumers feeling deceived and marginalized. Profiteering Under the Guise of Philanthropy: Goodwill Industries presents itself as a selfless organization working to provide employment opportunities for the disadvantaged. Yet, buried beneath the surface are their extravagant salaries for top executives and clunky bureaucracy. In 2019 alone, Goodwill International's President and CEO received an astronomical salary of over $700,000, while regional executives raked in six-figure salaries. This raises serious questions about the organization's priorities and just how much they truly care about their mission. 1. Predatory Pricing: Goodwill's prices have spiraled out of control, leaving many customers shocked and feeling exploited. Despite positioning itself as a low-cost option for essentials, Goodwill's pricing model has become increasingly unaffordable for the very people it claims to serve. The organization has abandoned its original purpose, shamelessly raising prices at an alarming rate. Basic items, often hidden among piles of junk, are now outrageously overpriced, making it difficult for those on a tight budget to find affordable goods. 2. Unfair Bargain Stealing from the Needy: Donations are meant to be a charitable act, with the intention of helping those less fortunate. However, Goodwill has perfected the art of cherry-picking the most valuable items from donated goods, leaving the lower-quality items for sale in their stores. This unscrupulous practice ensures that Goodwill maximizes their profit margins on valuable donations, essentially stealing from the generous donors who want their belongings to be used for a noble cause. 3. Questionable Employment Practices: Despite promoting job opportunities for disadvantaged individuals, Goodwill has faced numerous accusations of mistreatment of employees. Many former employees have shared tales of oppressive working conditions, low wages, and a lack of job security. This begs the question: how can an organization that claims to empower others provide such a hostile work environment for its own staff? Conclusion: Goodwill's carefully constructed image as a charity helping those in need crumbles under scrutiny. Its exorbitant pricing, predatory practices, exploitation of employees, and dishonest approach to donations reveal a troubling truth: Goodwill is nothing more than a corrupt non-profit empire. Consumers must not be deceived by its seemingly noble intentions; instead, they should consider supporting more transparent and genuinely philanthropic organizations.

Been shopping here for years and the one time I ask for help cause a whole box of phone cases are priced higher by good will than the original price. I was told they didn't know why and they would reprice it 5 days from now. Not now but in 5 days. They're rude and don't care about their customers.

Cashier was cussing and could be heard across the store. She was explaining to someone how most of the customers are annoying and she doesn't want to be there. I would expect better for a store that runs off of selling overpriced donations.8/19 2-3pm

Of all the Goodwill in town, this is the smallest and really does not have much worth looking at. Used to buy and sell online before 2020 and I visited this location the least of all of the locations

What a disorganized mess. 3 cart left out to put stuff away. Frames are packed in so tight you can’t move them. Overflowing with clothes and could use a bigger building.

This is a fine Goodwill. The books were a little disorganized when I visited, but still a large selection. Many DVDs and CDs here too. I only browsed the clothes for a little bit, but they had a pretty wide availability of clothing items. Quick and easy check-out too.

The prices are getting to the level of retail. Still donated, free to Goodwill, used stuff. Not sure why people shop there so much still. Went looking for vases today for a school project. 4-8 bucks each, went to Dollar Tree next door and got them for 1.25. Used brake pads on the shelf for 8 bucks and a used ice cream maker for 50.

Used to be my favorite Goodwill location, but they've stopped enforcing masks and social distancing. Just because you have been vaccinated doesn't mean you can't spread the virus. It's not worth the risk.
