Went to Home Depot this morning to buy two small items. Went to check out and 10 people were in line to check out. They only had one station open and there was some problem with the lady in the front of the line. The line didn't move for 15 min so I sat down my items and left. Home Depot you need to have more than one check out station open. That is ridiculous. Do better.

Always enjoy shopping Home Depot. Fun to browse and find things you didn't even know you needed for around the house. They have it all.

So my lawn mower decided to kick the bucket today - beyond a reasonable cost to repair. I found the lawn mower I wanted - a self propelled Toro with the features I wanted. It said it was IN STOCK online. So I made the trip to this Home Depot. After not seeing any lawn mowers on display, I asked a couple of employees where I could find their lawn mowers. "Up" was the answer I received. Apparently they have moved them up to the top racks out of the way given it's late in the season. Fair enough. I get it. The gentleman helped me look in two rows where they might be for about 2 minutes. Then I was told they think their stock might be wrong. I said well then I'll wander around and look at all of the top shelves to see if I can spot it. I asked 2 other employees if they knew where the Toros might be stashed, neither knew or offered to help search. I was told, heck they could be anywhere! Ok thanks. I wandered for another 10 minutes before giving up.Sorry Home Depot - this was a completely lousy experience and a complete waste of my time. Therefore you have now earned a spot on my "Never Spend Another Dime With Your Company List" because of availability inaccuracy and lousy assistance, which reflects poor customer service training on your part. Companies currently on this list include - AT&T (31 years) Apple (26 years) Spectrum (6 years), PetSmart (5 years) to name of few. Not another dime. I will literally pay double somewhere else for the same product before setting foot in your store again. Don't bother responding, offering apologies or discounts. Just know - not another dime. Ever.

Female manager was very rude to us as we were trying to ask questions regarding a return. Customer service should always be number one and people who act in such a way should not have a job title such as a manager

Where to begin? I use to absolutely love this store, always helpful, amazing service and amazing employees.Something has changed quickly and not for the good! Here’s my story. My wife and I found a tub surround on the website we had to have. On 8/26/23 we made the journey to HD to purchase the surround. We found an employee in the correct department and asked for help. We described what we wanted and after 5-10 minutes of searching their database it became obvious the employee wasn’t the best on a computer (not a huge deal) I sat down opened my app and eventually we found the surround we came for. The lady printed the ticket, told us it would be in the store in 2-3 weeks. She instructed us to take the ticket to the front of the store to pay for the item (not convenient but again no big deal) We get to the register and the associate seemed a little confused at the ticket but figured it out. When we pulled out cash to pay it was like a “deer in headlights” if we would’ve had Monopoly money I think it may have been less perplexing for her. Out came the phone for change which again no big deal but when you combine the entire visit it was becoming obvious the employees weren’t competent or needed a LOT of training which I believe the later to be the case.Ok item purchased now we wait! We plan for the install and gather supplies. Approximately 3 weeks pass and I receive several phone calls, the first AT 6AM! I return the call from the voicemail and am informed the surround has arrived but arrived damaged. I was asked “what would you like us to do?” I said I want the surround and I’ve already paid for it. I asked if they could deliver the item when it arrived to compensate for the inconvenience which she quickly agreed to. I was told it would be another 2 weeks before it arrived. At this point I’m disappointed but things happen. Here’s where it goes to far. Several weeks pass and I hear nothing so around 10/3 I call the store to check on the item. I’m informed it’s in the store and READY FOR PICKUP! AND it’s been there since 9/28. I explained the store had agreed to deliver the item to my home which the lady responds “I don’t see that in my system” UNBELIEVABLE! I said ok, when can you deliver it? 10/12 which to me is totally unacceptable given the fact no one ever reached out to inform us the item was ready AND they failed to make a note it was to be delivered which at that point it should have already been delivered! I told the lady that I was very unhappy to see if they could arrange to deliver sooner due to their failures. She called back a few hours later to let me know it could be delivered 10/10 which to me is still unacceptable given the circumstances. I said I’ll come this weekend (an hour drive) and pick it up.We get to the store (I had my 3 year old) I went straight to the customer service desk and told them I was there to pick up the item and gave my information. She told me she would go get it and I said perfect we need a few things we will be back soon. We shopped for 20 minutes or so and returned to the desk. I said is my item ready in which she said “You were here to pick up pencils, right?” WHAT!!!!! Apparently that’s some of their lingo in their shipping, another lady stepped over and helped her figure it out. AND then she went to get my surround, instead of trying to figure this out while we were shopping she waited (playing on her phone when we came back) until we returned to figure it out.I’ve never in 40 plus years on this earth received worse customer service than I did buying this surround! EVER! We will never return to this location, for those who need this store I hope they make changes because this can’t be an isolated issue, to many employees failed us in this purchase.TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

I rented a shampooer from the Turfland location and they did not have an upholstery arm. So I called the Richmond Road location and they had one and could not read it to me unless I took the shampooer back to Turfland and came to them and did the whole process over again. I even offered to pay additional for the arm or bring in my receipt to show. I was renting it from Turfland. I even offered to make sure to return the arm to that store. Any company that I've ever worked for in Lexington that had another store in the area, we were always able to enter change inventory. The lady on phone was rude.

Went to try to find a plumbing fitting that they quit making several years ago. I was greeting a store employee wanting to know if I needed any assistance. I showed what I was looking for and he quoted the other plumbers that I had asked. Being greeted by someone was hands down better than I can get at Lowe's. Waited over forty-minutes at Lowe's and still didn't get any help, they were all laughing and having a good time in the back room, everyone must of went to lunch at the same time, this was the lowes in Mt Sterling.

We recently ordered an in store pickup item, thinking that it would make it easier on our lunch hour. Wrong. They had 5 hrs to get a small fan to the front desk. After standing in line for pickup, it wasn't there, yet employees were standing around in the aisles just chatting. I had to go find the item myself. I also watched them ignore a woman in a wheelchair who needed assistance with a similar item. Nowhere near customer focused...

My father in law went in and tried to order a washer. They told him to order online. He did but he didn’t click the free installation button, because it was free and he was confused. He called the store to explain what happened. I walked by his room and heard Debra Gibson belittling and yelling at my father in law over a miscommunication. He is an elderly man, recently widowed, and just recovered from a stroke. She should be ashamed of herself. Had Home Depot taken the time in the store to help him order this wouldn’t have been an issue. We asked for them to pick up the washer, because they wanted us to wait 5 days to get it installed and we felt like they didn’t value our business. They refused. If you want to spend your money at a store that mistreats and takes advantage of the elderly, go to this store and talk to Debra.

Home Depot probably has what you want when you need it. My recent visit there proved something else to me: their personnel actually go out of their way to get you to the product you want. A good group of people.

Was looking for a specific style of bifold doors. An associate helped me find them. I would have given them five stars if they would have price-matched the competition. Still, an overall good shopping experience.

Caution on weekends for people pulling out of parking spaces and areas close to garden center. Helpful staff at entry and throughout store to guide you directly to product need aisles.
