Was waiting on help to look at a watch. Lady behind the counter didn't acknowledge my wife and I at all. She walked away from the area and didn't come back. My wife then went over and asked for help. We stood there another 7 minutes and left. Bought a watch at another store. Terrible customer service. Won't go back.

JC Penney management! Get with the 21st century with your processes!
To have one, designated counter for returns and exchanges is Punishing your customers , rather showing any sign that you value them (and their time).
Enable your registers and cashiers to process exchanges.
When looking for the sources of your decreased sales and profits, start by looking at the customer “experience” and causes that send them shopping elsewhere

Went to the Lexington store for JCP.com pickup. I stood in line for at least 30 minutes. The lady working was very sweet but she was too slow. As I stood waiting, the line kept getting longer. I called customer service and they acted like they didn't care. This will be the last time I shop at JCP.

The sales were great. However, it was a little disorganized and difficult to navigate. I bought a beautiful outfit with good quality fabric for a great price. I plan to go back there.

I went to buy a product that was showing in stock on their website but when I arrived at the store I was informed by a sales attendant that there were none in stock! Waste of time. The website should be more accurate.
Ps: do not go to the Fayette store for homeware! There's close to nothing in stock

15 years ago this Penney's was my go-to place for clothes. The kind of deals they used to run were absolutely unbeatable. Unfortunately, this has stopped in the last few years. This particular store has a nasty habit of keeping promotion and sale signs up after they've already passed then giving you sticker shock when you show up to the register. I calculated my last haul around $70. I got up to check out and they told me it was $106.90. It's no wonder Penney's is struggling to hold their head above water. Maybe if they took better care of their stores they wouldn't have so many problems.
