Worth going to the suburbs where the staff is nicer. We were in from out of state and not everyone who entered the store had ID. Only one person was purchasing. That person had ID. Refused to sell. What happens if an over 21 year old enters with a minor child (car seat/toddler)? Do you refuse to sell to that parent too? Absurd.

Good selection of wine, bourbon and beer. The only caveat is that clerks are not always the best in there. Today, my wife entered with me, but wasn't feeling okay, so she went back to the car to wait for me. When I was at the counter to pay, the clerk asked me to go for my wife and her ID, which I found rather absurd. At that very instant, I was the only one there and the only one paying for the wine. She tried to justify her extremely narrow-minded action by telling us that the store could lose its license and she could lose her job. She even mentioned the sign at the entrance of the store: "YOU MUST BE 21 TO ENTER." If she really wanted to follow the store policy shown at the entrance, she would be asking customers' ID when they enter and not at the checkout register, especially those PRESENT at the purchase time.

This Kroger Wine and Spirits is probably one of the best in town for getting allocated items, has a decent selection of alcohol and generally has the best prices compared to most liquor stores even other Kroger W&S stores. The store is clean, updated and no issues. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I would prefer that it were attached or closer to the actual Kroger store for convenience but know the history. I frequent this store and would recommend it.
