This was a fun place to go!! It was kind of dirty in there but that is normal for a place you get sweaty ! It was really fun and hard! You get a great arm workout while you're there. The pictures you may see on the scroll are very incorrect there is not that many pegs in the walls and not that much color. I also did not see a gym??? It was super hard to climb! They provide you with shoes and a harness! Make sure to bring your water or money! They do have a vending machine with water protein bars and hand chalk. There is a water fountain and water bottle fill up station. No need to worry about the bathrooms they have some there and you get a day pass! It's $30 a person plus tax including children. Make a reservation online to come. You can also sign the waiver there! Hope this helps! Have fun!!

After not climbing for over a year, I decided to put on my climbing shoes again and check out LEF Climbing. It has a spacious interior with a variety of routes for bouldering, top rope, auto-belay, and lead climb. The walls are much taller than other gyms I've been to and make the routes much challenging. Some of the grading doesn't seem very consistent. Staff is nice. Kids and adults of all ages are welcome. It's definitely fun to experience it at least once! The day pass is currently $30 per person with all gear rentals included. No price reduction if you bring your own gear. The membership cost is hefty, $100 per month or $80 if prepay... that's close to 1K per person at a minimum. One membership bonus is that all classes are free. If I resume climbing on a regular basis, I might consider shelling out some $$.

This review is for Alex Davis who works at LEF as a trainer, coach and in many other roles. Alex is the most motivating trainer I’ve ever had. I take a weekly class from her called Power Hour that I highly recommend if you want to train in the weight room with a knowledgeable, safe, and super fun trainer. She is not only amazing training adults, I also see her having the best time coaching kids and teens. I trust and value Alex so much as a member of the LEF community.

One of the best facilities I’ve been to of its size. Would highly recommend to any climber regardless of experience or ability.I’ve been going to LEF 5+ days per week for the past six weeks in place of a regular commercial gym membership. Leaving Lexington I have zero complaints or qualms with my membership. I met Gwen my first day and saw her frequently throughout my time at LEF. She was highly professional and very engaged; she consistently coached me and others while she wasn’t working the front.Facility: the facility is very clean and a great size for the population of the surrounding community. The main climbing room is consistently clean and auxiliary areas are well maintained. LEF also provides a weight room for members, which is well equipped, even for serious lifters. My only complaint is lack of hamstring curl or leg extension machines. There are also 4 different moon boards. I can only speak to bouldering but problems are frequently rotated/set and are made with various techniques/experience levels in mind.Management: I had limited interaction with management, but I can only infer that they’re engaged and experienced. Community engagement appears to be a top priority with speciality nights/events. Staff are of a high-caliber in both technical expertise and customer service. Management demonstrates active capital investment into the facility with two new moon boards being set up (originally just two) going into August. LEF management is doing something right!Culture: overall very friendly and cooperative culture at LEF. I only had 2 interactions over the past 6 weeks with other climbers that would lead me to believe otherwise.Again, I would highly recommend LEF to any climber in the area or for those passing through. LEF has set the standard for the next gyms in my bouldering journey.

This place is awesome, we brought our sons here and then came back with the grand children. They all had a great time and got some good exercise. Not sure why they feel the need to have the pride flag on the wall. You should be able to have a business with out pushing sexual orientation.

Best climbing gym in the area, family friendly with a nice weight room, great bouldering, and plenty of climbing walls.

They don't accept walk-ins! So if you try to come in after 5, it's a no-go.That said, if you're close they will try to accommodate. The gym is awesome and everyone is friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Great place to climb when it's not busy. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't crowded so often. If they were open earlier or later this may help.

We love climbing at LEF. The staff is always friendly and if you’ve never climbed before they will help you learn how. They frequently change the routes so that every time you go it is different. If you’re looking for something new and fun, LEF is the place.

Consider this a 5-star review for Alex Davis, LEF's newest trainer and climbing coach. I met Alex tonight when she overheard me say the bathroom was out of soap and kindly offered to take care of it. Alex spoke first, made eye contact, smiled, and asked how I was doing. She was warm, welcoming, and very friendly. It was my first experience of this kind with a LEF staff member. As a member of the gym and patron since its opening, it felt wonderful to be noticed and served. Thanks, ALEX!

My husband loves climbing at LEF. I did as well prior to having children. Great place, lots of challenging routes.

They helped our Trail Life troop out by donating old rope pieces to help our troop with knot tying. They couldn’t give us full ropes understandably because they were old retired ropes. So they even cut them into 3-5 foot sections for us. Thank you so much.

LEF Climbing is a place where your child or family can kick-off a life-long adventure. Bring your chalk and they have everything else that you need to safely scale to the top. We are saving for a family membership to keep our kids active instead of inactive on their devices.
