They sent me stuff in the mail that I never asked for, it was really creepy because it included a Google street view image of my house.
They also do not have any language in the letter for how to opt out of receiving mail they send you.

I recently inquired about a discount for having a Ring Doorbell Camera and Ring Floodlight Camera and it turns out I was already getting the discount from my previous agent. But then Phil asked about our retirement status. My wife & I are both semi -retired, only working part time. We qualified for a discount on our Auto policy and our Home Owner's policy and will be saving over $350 per year, thanks to Phil mentioning this option.
Thanks Phil!

I was an Allstate customer for over 14 years and decided to switch this year to another reputable carrier. While doing this, we discovered that I was paying approx. $3000 more per year for the exact same coverage that I am receiving with the new carrier. I feel like I have been a loyal customer and now I feel like I have been taken advantage of with these premiums. I cannot and will not recommend Allstate to anyone.

The kind of useless business that sends you mail with official-looking letterhead and perforated edges that makes you think you have some important document to attend to. Instead, it’s an ad for insurance. It’s extremely rude and condescending to send such mail, and it’s a tiresome time waster to open at the end of a long workday. A business that doesn’t respect your time certainly doesn’t deserve your dollar. Change your mailing system and- better yet- don’t mail me.

We were loyal customers going on 20 years with Allstate. Never once had a late payment, held a primary house for 20 years with and a secondary for 15years and for a short period owned a third three home and rental insurance. All policies : home insurance, renters, auto and umbrella have been with them. In 20 years we had a total of 3 claims. I didn’t know there were other- better companies out there but shopped with an insurance broker through Zander. There are other brokers but Zander is who I used. I got a better auto policy and umbrella. We paid 3k/6 months with Allstate to cover two adult drivers, have 3 cars and excellent driving records. My husband has an accident 2023 while he was parked in a school parking lot and a car backed into him. That’s the one auto claim. Our new policy is 2K/year!!! (Same EXACT coverage)
Recently Filed a new claim 000778611343 for water damage/ a busted copper pipe behind a bathroom vanity. We only knew when there was a mildew smell and called in a plumber who discovered the craw space to be wet and recommended we call a remediation company. They needed to remove vanity to be able to assess damage- they also suggested removing flooring, sub flooring so we could see the extent of damage. I called local agent who stated it wouldn’t be covered because that’s considered neglect. I called 1800Allstate to have an adjuster come see and per phone conversation adjuster stated neglect. There is no way we could have known about the leak and we took care of it the day we found out. I will file a complaint with the Department of Insurance (http://insurance.ky.gov) and encourage you to do the same if you have a claim that was denied or they discouraged you from filing. The adjuster scheduled to come out and I stated the definition of neglect: failing to address a repair for a KNOWN water leak in a timely manner, allowing it to continue and potentially causing significant damage. They scheduled a structural engineer to come. I asked him about getting the report a he states he will send to Allstate and I can request from them. I called to request report and they said no- it was a work document and I could not have a copy. They make sure to cover themselves to not cover damages. Insurance is there to defer risk from individual/s to the company. They have misunderstood this to be we pay them, they deny claims and we pay for damages that have been incurred so it’s all a win for them. I didn’t realize there was other insurance companies out there besides the big names that are advertised all the time around me. We have paid over hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years we have been with Allstate which we have received less than 50K in claims for damages exceeding $100K which we paid to have insured at 1M! At a 25% payout, they retain 75%profit. Multiply that per each policy holder and each denial and they make a huge margin for profit. Get a broker, switch companies or just steer clear of this one!

After receiving significant roof damage from a large scale windstorm, Allstate and Phillip Humphries jumped in to action after I filed the claim. During the entire ordeal Humphries Insurance Agency and Allstate made sure I understood the entire process from start to finish. Excellent customer service and it is great having a knowledgeable local agent in Mr. Humphries!!!

Phil is a good guy, but I have had so many problems with his office in getting the insurance information to the DMV on several occasions. I am clueless as to why All State does not send this information to the correct client's location of registration. Maybe All State just does it differently and I was not informed why they do not do it? Insurance companies ask for this information when one applies for insurance. When I was with Geico, they would just send the information to the DMV if I was current on my car insurance. I began to think this was how all car insurance agencies worked. I would never hear back from the DMV on them requesting proof of insurance. Recently, I received a letter, which is like the last resort attempt. It stated that they intend to suspend my vehicle if I do not show them proof. I had never seen a letter like this until now. I do admit that I had problems with Geico when it came to claims, but I would always be timely with my proof of insurance being received by the DMV. There needs to be a clause or a law passed stating that if an agency does not send proof of insurance to the DMV (via email at the minimum), when their client has paid it; the agency should have to pay the fees that come with being late. I am trying to work through this whole process to see if there is anything I need to do, but honestly, I think it is up to the insurance company to finalize whether or not I received stated insurance (after confirming payment) and that they should be the ones who interact with the DMV. Is there ever a case were the client assumes responsibility, after being approved for insurance, that they have to inform the DMV themselves?
