I have gotten blood work done 2 times from Quest. The first time, the lady stuck me 3 separate times. She couldn't find a vein so she fished around in one arm, she switched arms and busted my other vein, and then she put a needle in between my knuckles not even in the hand vein and caused me to pass out and no blood was drawn. My husband had to hold my body up in the chair for 5 minutes while I was passed out.
The second time, another woman drew my blood to confirm my pregnancy, a few days later I ended up in the ER with a vein infection causing me not to beable to move my arm at all. I was told this was from unsanitary practice and that I was lucky I didn't have staff or any other major bacterial infection that could have caused me or my baby harm. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOOMEND TO ANYONE.

The appointments run late. Can’t come in as a walk in at all but even if you have an appointment you will be waiting longer. Make your appointment a lot earlier than the test requires.

My advice is that if you need to get labs done at this location, be sure to make an appointment. Don't just show up as a walk-in because you'll have to wait and may repeatedly get bumped down the queue. At the same time, it makes things more difficult for people who did have appointments as well as for the staff. My most recent appointment was unpleasant because they were particularly overbooked and seemed understaffed. So, I had to wait a long time even though I had followed the instructions, made an appointment, arrived on time, and checked in. I don't expect any VIP or expedited treatment, but my observation was that the people who seemed most aggravated by the wait time were those who'd shown up as walk-ins. For me, I wish there were more locations and that the scheduling and staffing were more robust. But that's a problem everywhere you go now. In theory things should be easier becuase you can schedule yourself on your computer or even phone, but in practice there's not enough workers and thoughtfulness about the actual humans involved.

Very rude person on staff belittling customers for basic questions. Get a better attitude, lady! We are here waiting patiently for important tests and it doesn’t help when a staff member is angry or just plain unhelpful with my friend and other patients waiting! This happened after 1:10 pm on a Thursday for clarification. Disappointing, and my friend was upset and in a bad mood afterwards. I know he’s not the only one. Would not recommend this place if this continues.

As I’m writing this review I am currently on hold to schedule a courier to pick up hospital drug specimens. I am currently at 21 minutes and counting. Every. Single. Time. I don’t understand why our hospital continues to use this service but will continue to urge a change.

In my 76 years of life I dont think I have experienced two more friendly nurses than the two I encountered when I went to Quest in Lexington,Ky. Even though I was a walk-in with no appointment they
treated the same as those with appointments, and my wait was extremely short, around 25-30 minutes.Being afraid of needles since my military service I was pleasantly surprised that when drawing the blood samples I hardly felt it at all. Kudos to the two nurses that were their and Quest.

No one ever comes because they're just having a great day and they just want to share it with them. But anytime anyone goes there for whatever reason they are going the staff is always kind as well as professional. I know some things require a little bit more discretion than others and their staff is always on par to not only meet your expectations but exceed them.
