I haven't been to an event at Rupp in probably 10+ years. We were here on Dec 30th for the Tyler Childers concert. Getting to the venue wasn't an issue and the initial entry wasn't a problem. The main issue we encountered was that while going through security, each line seemed to have it's own rules with bags. My friend's bag was right within the guidelines but she almost had to bag check it. I had a clear bag so we took several things out of her bag to put into mine so she wouldn't have to pay the $20 to check her bag. Meanwhile, in the line next to us, bags twice the allowed size were going through security with no issue. Overall, the concert was great and the venue was ok. There could be more consistency with the security lines.

Attended a Concert there, bought tickets through Ticketmaster, got too event seats were taken. Asked security 2 to ask the people to move and was told to move them myself, after finding out right before we arrived at our seats a fight had already broken out over this area and seats. We where yelled at and cussed by people because we couldn’t set down because our seats were taken and we’re literally told to set wherever. I set in the steps which is a fire hazard and never even got to set in my seat that I paid $100 a ticket for!!! This place has horrible security and it’s a very unsafe environment for anyone to attend any venue here!!! I set on the steps Ind don’t of a pole for $100!!! Pictures below and it’s totally unacceptable and unsafe!!! I was section 225 Row A seats 1&2 and you can clearly see they were in our seats and wouldn’t move!!!

Had club access for the Jonas brothers and it was WELL worth the money. The parking was a tad hard to find but after following some other cars, the private garage and private entrance were perfect. I would get club access solely for the private restrooms. The appetizers were pretty good as well. If you have a show coming up at Rupp, this is the way to go.

Very nice. Easy to navigate to your seat and plenty of staff to help guide you. Very secure. Clean restrooms.I was very let down that more big screens weren’t used. The arena has plenty, why didn’t they use them? Idk.

We saw guns n roses here. Even though the staff for the most part were friendly and helpful in helping us find our seats the rows were very narrow and tight which made us feel very anxious if one of us were to take a wrong step and tumble down by accident. Other than that the prices for food at the concession stands were fair although limited and signage to find our seats are large and clear which made finding our seats easy. Don't know if I'll ever come back to this stadium again but if I do I'll probably come early cause finding nearby parking spaces is challenging by itself when an event such as this comes along.

My wife and I went to the Dave Chappelle show on 9/12/23. With the understanding that the venue was likely sold out, it was still no where near sufficiently staffed. Upon entering the building, there was a disorderly crowd of people with no established line. Everyone was funneled into a pie-shaped entrance that was staffed with only 2 people who were clearly stressed out. After waiting for 30 legitimate minutes to reach the front of the line, we were told this was the line to enter the first level seating only, and we must get back in line upstairs. There was no one announcing this when we entered the building and no one available to ask prior to getting to the front of the line. So, up the stairs we went to an equally large and unorganized crowd being wrangled by several members of staff scanning tickets. Another 30minutes go by- now 1hr in. Another 15min were spent getting our phones locked in a bag- also understandable considering the contents of the show will likely be turned into a Netflix special. However, it would have made more sense if the staff handling the phones would have each been assigned to a person scanning tickets for a more efficient process/experience. After finally making our way in, we headed to the concession stand, which at least had lines, but were no more efficient. There are typically food runners assigned to the cashier taking the order to save time and get customers into their seats to watch the show on time. Each cashier took the order, handled the food, as well as the payment. Another 40min gone by.The show started at 730. We walked into the venue at 715. Chappelle had 3 openers each doing approximately 30min sets. By the time we got through all of this chaos, we missed all 3 openers and found our seats just in time for the dj who was hyping up Dave's set. Fortunately, we did get to enjoy the entirety of Dave's set, which was amazing btw. But it was certainly dissapointing to drive 3 hours round-trip from Louisville, to stand in lines for another 2 hours, only to watch a 1 hour set. If nothing else, what I have gained is a much greater appreciation for the YUM center and how well staffed and organized they are- I unknowingly took it for granted for years. I have seen countless shows there and typically spend 30min entering the venue, getting scanned in, visiting the concession stand, and getting to my seats.

Rupp arena is a really cool place to visit. This is where Kentucky basketball play so the atmosphere is great. Tickets are super cheap if you're a student. This is also where the university of Kentucky holds its graduation, which is a really spectacular event. Loads of seats that are comfy and have a great view. The screen in the middle is also super effective :-)

Took my grandson to his first rock show here at Rupp arena in Lexington Kentucky. It was his 10th birthday and we went to see Bush and Breaking Benjamin. Parking was a breeze across the street. I chose to pay in advance for parking and got a discount. The staff were very helpful and courteous. Our seats were awesome! We had a great time. I love Rupp arena. I don't think there's a bad seat in the whole place.

Went for a high school graduation there today. Though helpful with handicapped folks, like letting us bypass the security lines, the place isn’t as handicap accessible as one might think. There are platformed seating areas with folding seats, which are nice But a guy with a bad knee and cane must walk a distance to get to seating. And restrooms are generally not close to most sections. After graduation was over, it was a long walk back to handicap parking area. Knees hurt badly later in the afternoon.

Very clean arena with great parking. Came in town for a lil Wayne concert and thoroughly enjoyed ourself. Will definitely come here again to watch shows and things. My only suggestion is get different food and drink vendors. Definitely more beer options.

Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, is a great venue for college basketball, concerts, and shows. It's much nicer than the KFC Yum! Center in nearby Louisville as the parking is better and more convenient, and seating more comfortable. Generally speaking, it's just a better venue in every aspect. All said, I recently took my grandson to a monster truck event at Rupp Arena and found that it's a bit small for this type of event. Having been to larger indoor venues where these events have taken place, more floor space is needed for these large trucks to really show off. It was a great show nonetheless and left thoroughly entertained.

I have attended a couple of events here the past few months each experience was different. I came for a basketball game during terrible rainy weather, trying to park in the nearby parking lots is awful, unless arrive early. They will let you bring umbrellas but not a small purse must be 9x5. Which I thought mine was but it was just a bit bigger. Bathrooms were clean, security was nice & efficient. However when leaving they were trying to funnel everyone out only one set of doors and it was chaotic since not everyone was aware and trying to exit out another way. My second event was a concert, we had floor seats and was told to go thru the bottom entrance, when we got to that entrance security told us we had to go upstairs. We went to the upstairs security, found our floor seats and went to get drinks and use the bathroom just to see the same room (the first floor entrance we couldn't get in through). Not a huge issue but at the same time we walked upstairs just to get back down stairs. This wasn't the club entrance either since there was no food, entertainment or anything extra just bathrooms and 2 bars which one was fully stocked! The bathrooms were very clean & spacious and the staff were constantly cleaning and stocking. Both events experiences were great and these weren't major issues just minor things that if known ahead of time, would have helped to make the experience bette.
