Shillito Park in Lexington is a popular and versatile outdoor space that offers a range of activities for visitors. The park features a well-maintained disc golf course with new baskets, making it a favorite spot for disc golf enthusiasts, even though it is considered the easiest course in Lexington. There is a large, paved walking path that loops around the park for about 2.3-2.4 miles, suitable for walking, running, biking, rollerblading, and walking dogs. The path includes a figure-eight turn around point near sports courts, and ample parking is available throughout the park. The park has a playground that is well-done, with accessible swings and toys suitable for most children. While the bathrooms near the playground are available, they can be dirty, and there are some porta potties that are less clean. The park also offers facilities like a pool open in summer, picnic areas with tables and shade, and spots for barbecues. The sports area includes numerous new pickleball courts, though their design could be improved as players must stop to let others in. Shillito Park is a peaceful and beautiful place, attracting families, walkers, cyclists, and sports players alike. It provides a safe and welcoming environment, though some areas, especially the secluded playground, can feel a bit isolated. Overall, it’s a well-loved park with plenty to offer for outdoor fun and relaxation.
It was very nice we were able to get a pavilion to have a birthday party. We all had a wonderful time.

We love going to Shilito! It's close to our house, the walking path is great, and we love getting to see all the other activities available.

great park. the pickleball courts are super numerous and new. But the design is a little off. No forethought. Everyone has to stop when new players come on to the court as theres only one entrance.
