Received a gift for my birthday and they refused to take it back nor give in store credit because it was 17 days past the return policy of 60 days. So even though I had no control over when the person bought the gift, they refused to take it back and the manager refused to even listen to the reason and told the clerk no. Pathetic. So I have clothes that I guess ill gift to goodwill since I can't do anything with them. Happy birthday to me.

First, I want to commend Talbots for hiring great staff. I’ve been a member since 2014 and today I try to return a pair of jeans that I had to order online. I had lost some weight, thinking these would fit me. So last night took the tags off put them on and realize they were too big so I put the tags back in the pocket then drove over to the store. They told me that they could not take back the jeans $99 a pair because the tags were not fixed. I said really! They said it says so on your receipt. I said I’ve been coming here for 11 years. When did this change ?it was always on the receipt we’re just enforcing it. So unfortunately, I will be closing my account . Again, their staff is great!

I'm shopping in the mall on a rainy day. In order to go in your store, I've got to go outside the mall into the rain, to come in your outside entrance. You are a mall store and you have a mall entrance. Why don't you use it? I don't need to shop in your store if you require me to get wet first. This was a poor business decision on your part.

I've shopped Talbots for years. Stopped in Talbots at Fayette Mall yesterday at 5:40 pm. I walked in and was immediately greeted by an employee who said "can I help you find something? We close at 6:00". First, the store is located in a mall that is opened until 9:00 pm. Secondly, I found it very rude to be greeted with a warning the store was closing in 20 min. I simply walked out.

I visited here yesterday, purchased a super cute spring outfit and a pair of jeans. There was a new young lady working there, she was amazing! Very friendly and helpful in suggesting pants for my top. This is not the usual for this store, other than the very petite senior lady who is seldom there anymore. Customer service should be priority now more than ever. I am so sorry I didn’t get the young ladies name, she was excellent! I’m career customer service!

Visited today. 4 associates were working. Not one of them offered to help me in anyway. Evidently if you don't purchase every visit they don't want to bother with you.

I was ignored and glared at while in this store. The staff is clearly lacking customer service skills and manners. I have been a Customer for over 40 years and have never been more dissatisfied with one of my favorite go to stores. I went directly to JJill and spent hundreds of dollars with the help of their wonderful staff! Cutting up my Talbots charge card.

Thank you for saving me $100!. Standing in line to purchase a dress and was first asked to move. When both sales clerks became available to check me out, they did not address me, but began discussing a personal conversation. I can tell you that they were upset because no one had relieved them and that they were overdue for lunch. I promptly returned the dress and walked out. I am a long time Talbots customer, but have many other options for spending my money. #neveragain

I’ve had mixed experiences. I’m 39 and still get treated like the kid that doesn’t belong sometimes when I shop there. Due to ill health, I’ve lost weight and went in the store to try on a few items as I didn’t know what to order online. There were 5-maybe 6 associates and two customers in the store. I tried on two sizes and they were too big and the size I thought I needed was not in the store but it looked like it might be on the manikin. I asked if we could check the size and was told by the person who had seemed irritated when I asked if she could check in the back for a certain size, told me to order online and went back to folding clothes. They can order for you in-store but that was not offered. I tried on a few more items and had questions about sizing but no one else offered until I was clearly leaving. Too late at that point when you’ve been in the store for 30-40 minutes. Won’t be back and likely won’t order much online either as the jackets of late lack shape and the quality of the fabrics are not up to par.

I just love this store. The sales staff is so friendly and accommodating. They help make it such a pleasant experience. Then there's the clothes! Everything is so well made, stylish, just right for the professional woman, priced accordingly, but worth it. The sales prices are especially good. I've never been disappointed in anything I've purchased from Talbot's.
