Akiko's Karaoke Club is celebrating 22 years as Louisville's best karaoke club, having won multiple awards. It is a cute little bar with a front room playing music and a karaoke area in the back room, up the stairs. The setup of the club is loved, with a bar in the front, a pool table, and plenty of seating. The bartenders are great, very nice, and amazing, making great drinks and watching out for customers. The DJ is great and kind, and karaoke is always a party. The club can be rented out for private events. It is a place with good vibes where customers have an enjoyable time and many are regulars. The fun starts here. A point of criticism is that the club does not give free water to paying customers anymore, which some find penny pinching. Also, there are not many drink specials on some nights, and you must buy a drink to perform karaoke. They do not sell food.

A reliable weekend karaoke spot. Sometimes can get a bit wild. During my most recent visit the karaoke room reeked of urine…. I’m talking from when you first walk in all the way back to the bathrooms. Golden shower Thursday special? Staff is beyond great but the pee was egregious! Oh mama!
