I was so thankful to this hospital for their hospitality. All the the staff were so friendly and so kind. I have a baby girl in their CICU, she born premature weighed 1 lb and 7 oz. Shout out to this hospital staff and everyone that is taking care of my baby girl till now. Y'all deserve 10 stars ???.

This place used to be one of the best. Unfortunately today it proved to be like a lot of the other hospitals. Understaffed maybe. Didn’t look it. But the way my daughter was treated by the staff there was uncalled for. She had her son there for surgery. And I truly believe she was outcasted because she is a lesbian mom with a small child with a son. Because the question we had to answer and the way we were treated was uncalled for. I wouldn’t recommend this place to any one. If you have to take your child for any kind of surgery pick a different hospital. Or be Prepared.. just saying. Lots of b/s just to try and make them look good. For a screw up a major one last week from what we were told. Good luck is all I can say. I’m glad I don’t have little ones anymore. Just all my grandkids I have to try to keep away from that hospital.

I went up there today for my sisters surgery. While in the waiting room the staff at the front desk were very rude and condescending. I’m 18 years old and was being talked to like a child. All because I asked for clarification on a question I had about parking. I was told “it was already explained to me.” When I told the lady I was confused. She proceeded to talk to me like a child. When I went to tell my family about it she must of heard me and tried to come over and at that point answer my question she refused to explain before. When I told her I didn’t like the way she was talking to me there was no apology and she shrugged her shoulders like she didn’t care. It’s already hard to sit through surgery waiting to make sure someone’s okay the last thing the staff can do is be alittle nicer terrible experience.

My daughter was born at 26 weeks and we spent 78 days in the NICU. I have never felt more like family to complete strangers than I have here. Two specific nurses, Billy miller and Sophie Cheek, made our stay the best it could have possibly been. They weren’t with us for our whole journey, but the time we spent with them and all nurses that we had made everything so much better. I thought going through all of that would have been a nightmare, but it was far from it. I never felt scared to leave my baby and take care of myself. I knew she was always going to be loved.We are now in the PICU going through another round of surgery’s and to say it’s been hard is an understatement. The neurologists Peggy and Lindsey and our surgeon Dr. Moriarty have been with us since our daughter was born they’ve become family to us. They always let us know how much they adore our baby and reassure us how safe she is with them. They take our concerns seriously and treat her like she is their baby. (Which she has become theirs at this point.)I will forever be grateful for how these people have helped us through our darkest times. I will never be able to thank them or repay them for what they have done for me and my baby girl.

I ask you to please be more aware of the sick children, from 9pm with abdominal pain and it was very bad practices towards the children, bad experience starting with the bad hygiene of the place where the children are, they should check this hospital, very bad practices and hours of waiting unnecessary charges to collect from the insurance seems to be the most important thing for them, I never imagined that these experiences would happen in this hospital, I hope this situation is resolved for the patients

I was in the waiting room with the 7-year-old girl with pain in her abdomen since 9 at night and at 1 o'clock they took her to see the doctor and they did a check-up and at 3 in the morning I had to ask for the result because they did not attend to me

I was extremely impressed with this hospital when we brought our 2yo daughter here for RSV. We had no idea it was RSV. Our daughter was admitted and had to stay overnight.The staff were incredibly compassionate to her, us and our 4yo who was with us at the hospital for most of the time. They were gentle in caring for my child. They checked on her at regular intervals, always introduced themselves with warmth (on rotating shifts) and were very hospitable. Also, the amenities on site are very helpful like kids’ movies queued up on the TVs in the rooms, activities (crayons, coloring sheets, stickers), engaging toys, plenty of snacks and drinks, etc. To me, it seemed well thought-out — like this hospital truly tries to think of everything a child and family might need to make a visit comfortable despite a stressful situation.My husband and I had one concern with medication that was initially given early in our visit (which we consented to). When I followed up with Norton some days after our release, I was so impressed that one of the medical directors called me directly, spoke to me compassionately as she seemed to truly understand my concern, explained the reasoning behind administering the medication (which I appreciated the education), and informed me that Norton would do a better job in the communication between medical teams as it relates to a parent being fully empowered to know why a particular medication may be given. Then, a few weeks later, I received a letter in the mail outlining that same compassionate communication that I had had on the phone.In my estimation, this hospital truly seeks to go above and beyond in the care of their patients as well as making sure the family has more than just the basics for what they need during an unexpected visit here. Thank you for our experience!

The nurses on the 7th floor E7 I think and ICU are amazing they are all so sweet and do an amazing job caring for your litttle one. They are very hard working nurses. The Doctors there are great too.

Like wow really ? Like ok no one is rude an they all working hard but dang no body seeing my Light go off . Sure am glad my baby is ok. An didn't need anything. She pushed the button for the nurse at 11 an well nothing yet .An im sleeping on the floor . When there is a empty room right door . Crazy but ok I get every one is busy. But when u go look an there standing around like high girls talking an laughing . It really ticks u off. To add my daughter was put on oxygen an 1an half hours later I was told about it very unprofessional. Plus u contacted me to give u my best contact information, with no way to get that to u cause no way shape or form an I giving that out on here real nice.

My daughter broke her arm and the Doctors and nurses were phenomenal. Thank you so much for all of the love and support you showed my daughter. I will forever be grateful for this TEAM.

I personally want to thank the nurses on the sixth floor burn unit in 6W. My grandson has been there for about 5 days now after being hit by a car and suffering from bad, multiple areas road rash especially head and face as they called it . They took excellent care of him and answered any concerns that I had. They are extremely dedicated to their job and care about their patients. I appreciate this it makes It a little easier on family during this time to recovery

Biggest joke of a medical establishment for children or anyone. Wait 3 hours and then be told 3.5 more. No one cares about the sick children waiting. They need about 6x the staff they have and should give realistic expectations about wait times up front.

Overall very pleased as the team of doctors at NORTON’s have finally diagnosed chronic issues that have been terrorizing my kid for over ten years. My other kids finally diagnosed after 4 years, when other doctors said attention seeking, it was actually an autoimmune disease.

Kosair is the best hospital to have a baby at our granddaughter was born at 26 wks and they are doing great things with her and I also had a daughter here over 30 yrs ago and they are the best thank you for all your hard work and dedication

Absolutely love this hospital. My son has a heart condition called TOF and when I have an emergency they are instantly on it. The wait might be long sometimes in the ER but it’s so worth it. I’ve had Wayne, Brooke and two other nurses we absolutely love!!! Brooke especially she is sooo sweet to my baby boy
