I have been trying to reach this site to confirm a cargo van rental I made for July 15-17. The reason for trying to confirm is due to the same experiences many others describe in their reviews. About 6 weeks ago I also made a truck rental reservation online for a one day move. When I got to the location on the day I was told they didn’t have any trucks and hadn’t had any for almost two weeks due to them all being out of service. I was also then charged a rental fee because I didn’t cancel my reservation for the truck I never received.I am a loyal Avis customer, Presidents Club, but my experience with this branch of the parent company has not been good.I can also not reach anyone at this local store, every time I call the number I get routed to the offshore customer support team.Perhaps the Budget Social Media team will see this and have someone from this store reach out to me.While this location is the most convenient one for me, if there won’t be a vehicle there I will make other arrangements.

I reserved a 12 foot truck for June first on May 29, I went on May 31 to the pick up store on Plantside dr. Louisville ky to make sure that they will have my truck the next morning. They told that they did not have any truck available, all were been repair. Why did they accept my reservation if they did not have a truck available. The worst business service I received in a long time, they should not be in business

My daughter went to pick up reserved truck and there was none available on moving day. The man there said he had 70 reservations and hers was the least of his worries. Go with Penske! Never a bad experience with them. My daughter didn’t know at the time that Budget is unreliable and unprofessional!!!!

Can I leave negative stars? Why bother to reserve to rent a truck if it's not even going to be there? I reserved a truck online 3 weeks ago. I showed up today and they had no idea what I was talking about. I dont even know how a place can stay in business like this. I've heard about these nightmares with Uhaul and thought Budget might be different. The guy working there tried to call the Manager and he wouldn't answer the phone. No resolution. Said he didn't know when they would have a truck available and couldn't guarantee anything. By the way, all local numbers go to customer service in India.

Reserved truck on Aug 26, 2021 for 9/4-9/9. Arrived at Plantside Dr location on time to be greeted with a note. Be back soon, went to get gas. While we waited. i noticed that there was only one truck parked. Possibly a 24 ft. We only needed a 12-15 foot. When the employee arrived, he told us that he had no truck for us. I told him that I confirmed the day before. I asked him why didnt the contact us if they didnt have a truck. He told us that they are not allowed to call people with reservations. By the time we left it was about 1pm. We went to surrounding truck rental places, they closed at 1130 or noon. Needless to say we were in a difficult situation. I will never use BUDGET again. Reservations are not kept and they are not credible,

Found a 26 foot truck at Plantside Dr. after searching all of louisville for the truck because they didn't have it at the original spot when I showed up. Our bill was estimated at $939 but it totaled up to be $1,558 after insurance and being under 25 years old. pretty frustrating but also used to scam companies hiding fees now days. The lady took us out to the truck and tried driving it to the trailer but was really struggling to even drive straight. I backed the truck up and thought she'd know how to attach car trailer but did not at all. My girlfriend and I figured it out thankfully. She did and 'inspection' claiming that all they look for are bends in the box of the truck and the gas tank. the gas tank was half full, she did not check lights, tires, cab, or even the check engine light. She was disoriented the whole time and to say the least it seemed like she was high on drugs. We were in a hurry because we had to move out of our house by the end of the night so we had no time to question everything and figured if anything went wrong the company would help us out. Well, 1/4 a way into the trip a tire on the trailer completely blew and make the trailer rock on this really busy highway. We pulled over and called customer service who sent us to roadside assistance, who sent us to customer service, who sent us back to road side assistance, who dropped our call. During all of this I decided to slowly try to get off the exit only a 1/4 mile away where there was a Walmart tire center. Finally got a hold of roadside assistance who told us we can get our tire changed with Walmart since we are in the parking lot. I paid touching the blown one and the bald one on the other side. On the road again but after talking to customer service and Plantside Dr. business we will not and have not ever been reimbursed for their terrible tires. the next day the same one I replaced was bald again. it took and hour but roadside assistance finally sent us to their affiliated business and paid for a new wheel baring and tires. They continue to tell us that we did not use roadside assistance for the first two tires so they cannot reimburse. DO NOT USE BUDGET ESPECIALLY PLANTSIDE DR.

Rented a truck from budget everything was fine until it started raining and rain poured through roof across entire back of cab. It was like a waterfall for the entire time it rained (8 hours). Called corporate to ask for discount and they determined $55 was for my inconvenience of driving soaking wet for 8 hours

Budget evidently doesn't wish to rent their trucks, if they did they would answer the phones locally. I've been trying daily for over week to contact the locations on Crittenden and Plantside each time their phone system transfers to their national call center because all local representatives are allegedly helping other customers, funny thing is I drive by their location on Crittenden daily and the same three trucks have been sitting in the same location for more than two weeks. Maybe if they answered the phone those trucks would be on the road instead sitting in the lot. I don't know just a thought..

Believe all the reviews and avoid this place if possible. Made a reservation a month in advance and they canceled two hours before my pickup day/time due to "no availability" without any forewarning. Even though they knew there was an issue early that morning, they didn't even bother to notify me as soon as they knew there was a problem so I could at least try to make other plans. The worst part about it was the lack of any empathy by the lady in charge. The only response I got was that there was nothing she could do about it and they aren't really at fault because technically they don't guarantee reservations. That's it. No apology of any kind, no trying to do something to help, no discount on a later rental, nothing. Very sad! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Despite a confirmation number and appointment time, there not a truck at this location, or anywhere in Louisville, and the manager completely mishandled Budget's mistake. She did not apologize once for the immense inconvenience Budget caused me. This is completely unacceptable.

We called and reserved a truck a week ago for tomorrow at 8:00am. We got a call an hour ago right before you closed saying that the truck we “reserved†wasn't avilable and there isn't one within 150 miles. They said our best bet is to wait until Tuesday and reserve one for then. Why would we “reserve†another truck from you when we wouldn't get it regardless of reserving it???? We needed that truck tomorrow morning because we're moving out of state. Worst experience with a truck company ever. We went ahead and called penske. They even nearly price matched the cost with The same size truck! Not only that they can actually GUARANTEE that all of our plans to move won't fall through and I can get my pregnent wife to our new place and not mess up any of my friends plans that were helping me move. I will never do business with an incompetent company like this again and will spread this story far and wide to help make sure other people don't fall into your snake trap like this.

All I can say is WOW. after reading the reviews on here, going back FOUR YEARS, Budget Truck Rental has done a horrible job in customer service! I reserved a truck three weeks in advance and was on my way to pick up the truck when I received a call 20 minutes before my scheduled time to notify me they didn't have my truck available! Not only was my truck not there, they had no other trucks to rent me! I had an entire group of people scheduled to help me move! This is the absolute worst service I've ever had anywhere! Who does this?? The manager also admitted he already cancelled 3 other people before calling me! What?!!! Thank god we weren't moving out of an apartment or house. We were moving items from storage so we had some flexibility. But no matter what, we had to move these items on that day. We ended tracking down a location, Sternberg Truck rental, that's all the way our Crittenden Dr. However, they were extremely professional and friendly. Helpful too. Ended up being more affordable then Budget also. Take your business to them! It wasn't the closest location for us but I'll use them again in a heart beat. They know what's going on. Budget needs to take a page from their book. What a joke.
