I use this machine for first time (eventhough my husband said not to) and it malfunctioned. The screen said to notify a walmart associate, which I did. First thing she said was "its not their machine so there was nothing they could do." I actually had to show the associate the screen because she did not believe me and still insisted it was not their problem. So then I called coinstar. The rep told me again to notify the associate. I asked for the Walmart manager and requested to speak with a coinstar manager on the phone. The assistant manager in Walmart said she didn't have the key and had not seen it in months. The coinstar rep said she didn't have a manager available and to come back tomorrow or leave my name and number so they can call me in 3 days. Now these machines do not give a receipt if it malfunctions so there is no way to get proof that you did not receive your voucher and no way to prove it's yours. So I refused to leave the store empty handed or at least without a receipt and I refused to end the call with coinstar. After an hour of going back and forth between coinstar and Walmart, an associate finally came from the back with the key, which they had the entire time! And even had the nerve to act as if it was my fault and I was inconveniencing them because I would not leave the store without my money. Coinstar and Walmart need to have a better system in place for these issues. I will NEVER again use a coinstar machine because if something goes wrong you could lose you money. I don't recommend using any of the machines, but if you do cash out in five dollar increments. I almost lost about $40 dollars
