They are the best. I am in the process of hiring my new apartment and the office team is very attentive. You feel comfortable in the office and with the treatment and service. I hope to soon be part of this excellent community.

Dorian, the leasing agent at Covington by the Lake Apartments, was a great help in finding my new apartment. He was friendly, professional, and made the process easy. Highly recommend!

Excellent apartment complex, without a doubt one of the best, in a comfortable position, and wonderful attention from the office, especially Dorian.

I lived there for 2 years. Beautiful apartments, had the 3 bedroom deluxe and it was very spacious. It is a steep rent for them going cheap on a few things. The big one for me was the fact they went cheap on the walls, fairly thin walls, you can hear people in thier own apartments around you, alot more then my past places I lived, noticeably. The people below me always complaining when it's not like we were having a dance off or anything, not sure how bad normal walking sounded for them. Don't feel as much privacy for the price with the thin walls. Its like they went with the "appearance" of luxury apartments to have the rent so high. They are really good in appearance on the inside though, loved the stand up shower and the walk in cupboards, closets and high ceilings. Another thing is outside railings made of cheap pvc type plastic instead of metal, like it would be easy for someone to knock through it if they fell plummeting a couple stories. It's the little things like that you expect to be better for the 1.7k a month.

The unit itself is very spacious and nice, but after the recent management change I wouldn't reccomend this complex over any others. No longer pleasent to deal with if you can get in contact with them at all anymore, and service requests take much longer to get any response. The unit itself is perfectly fine, but there are also so many just like it around here.

Lived here for 2 1/2 years. Was charged for normal wear and tear for scuffs on wall causing for a $255 paint charge (it’s illegal to charge for this we later discovered). Upon move out we gave them a forwarding address for our remaining deposit to be sent. Sean told us our security deposit would certainly cover the charges. We get an email stating our deposit was used up to cover the paint and last months water bill. There was no invoice sent or amount to be paid, nothing. 6 months later we get a collections notice for $650 and rechecked our email and there was nothing stating we owe Covington anything. It’s sad because for the first year and a half we lived here the pool was not opened, the dog park was not open, and it was an active construction site causing frequent nails in tires. We never complained nor asked for discounts in the already steep rent. We always paid our rent on time and caused no problems so for the management to do this to us really is saddening. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

I am 3 months into my lease and everything has been very good so far. Jessica has been very nice and attentive. If you need anything, she is your go to person! I don’t agree with the other review regarding a lot of local traffic- it seems like a average amount of cars coming by for the amount of apartment buildings there are here. There is a road that leads to a neighborhood in the back. Lights and paint, etc has been updated/fixed. I haven’t seen any problems with that. I live in the third floor so lawn maintenance noise isn’t a problem. Also I’m barely home to even see them cut the grass. It’s pretty quiet here. I rarely hear my neighbors (I thought I was the only one living on my floor for a couple of weeks lol). Obviously can’t sound proof anything-that’s apartment life but I rarely get bothered by any of my neighbors. I like that there’s already internet in every unit but hate that I have to pay for cable, as well, since I don’t really watch TV. Trash service is a nice plus. Also wish they would tell you this when you’re touring because I didn’t know I would be paying an extra $100 for these services before coming to sign my lease. Dog park is nice but we need more doggie stations, there’s only 2 around the complex. Also there have been no bags for a few weeks.

So far so good. I’ve been here for a month now. Apartment unit is clean and feels luxurious. No cigarette smell or anything like that. Rent is reasonable for this area. Valet trash service is a plus. Only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is because they failed in the customer service department before move-in. I received an email from them for 1/2 off first month rent for new 12 month leases and $0 application fee. They did not honor that even thought we met the criteria. Both me and my roommate thought that was unfair and we both work is customer service, and would have honored that had we been in their shoes.

Live in apartment for 2 yearsRecently moved out and was told to clean the apartment and fill the minor holes in the wall when leaving the apartment. We couldn’t repaint walls because the paint color scheme didn’t exist and was told not to worry about it. Ask for deposit back and they charge me $255 for paint which I would have done if i got told to paint the walls which I couldn’t. $150 for a full clean of the apartment which we left the apartment in good condition even did a deep clean on the carpet. Only minor scuffs on walls which would have been taken care of if we had PAINT. Terrible experience moving out.
