There is a very rude young man in the pharmacy. Always makes going there a pita. I'm definitely switching back to Walgreens.

Lexington Rd. CVS has been my pharmacy for years. Unfailingly kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. I read the negative reviews and wish you could experience the genuinely horrid times at our nearby Walgreens. Suspect every pharmacy must be under great pressure. We all need to be kinder (I'm preaching to myself).

The most incompetent pharmacy staff in the Louisville area.

Been using this pharmacy for about 4 years, and as long as I’m patient, they are great. They are understaffed, but those that are there are doing the absolute best they can. Wish I could give them all little forehead kisses for braving the insanity that is a customer service facing job.
Edit: Feb '25
It constantly amazes me how fully grown adults act when the pharmacy says one thing unexpected. CVS, if you're reading this, I salute you. Y'all the real MVPs.

Went to the next-door walgreens’s first for a passport photo and their “camera wasn’t working.” Thankfully I went to this CVS next. Quick, easy process with accurate photos for requirements and extremely friendly and kind staff. I highly recommend this store

Called to look for an out of stock medication I take every day. Was hung up on by the pharmacist and he was just generally very rude. Felt like he thought I was drug seeking when I’m just trying to find where I can fill my meds. Unfair treatment.

I get anxiety leading up to having to get my medicine refilled here. They get angry if you call for clarification and treat you like an idiot even though their text updates and app never matches the information. I honestly cry at least once a month because of the male pharmacist here and his ability to shut you down and make you feel stupid for just wanting an answer.

This CVS seems to be one of few in the area that is staffed during pharmacy hours. I have moved several prescriptions to this location. Staff seems to be handling the workload in a positive friendly manner.

This is my Pharmacy, I really never have a problem all of the girls that work. There are generally very nice and knowledgeable. But Tracy. Tracy Tracy Tracy. I know working is hard. I have been a nurse for 25 years. I know you’re understaffed. But realize people are not coming to you on their best day. I even tried to speak with you about your attitude and you basically ignored me, which is fine. I felt I was very respectful. I’m sorry if something is going on Life that is making it hard for you. I hope the best for you

I’m sure the people in the pharmacy are nice people, and are understaffed and dealing with a completely useless CVS app, but it is a NIGHTMARE every time I try to get a vaccine. I tried to make an appointment yesterday and wasn’t able to designate which vaccine on their app. So I walked in and was told to come back tomorrow. Then the staffer offered to print out all the paperwork I would need - which took longer than it would have taken to give me a shot. Went home and made appointments for today for my family. We showed up and no one seemed to have any record we were coming even though I checked my group in on the app after receiving several confirmation texts. They finally found two of us in their system but had booked one for a flu shot, and another for a Moderna shot. Nope. The pharmacist didn’t even know what vaccines they had available. And there was a line of a dozen people, many waiting for shots. It’s not worth it. If you need some toothpaste and a box of band aids, maybe. But avoid the chaos of the pharmacy at all costs.
UPDATE: just got a text after another half hour saying one of our prescriptions was ready. We were already in and out of Costco where a very cheerful staffer gave us the shots we needed. And before you say anything, you do NOT need a Costco membership to buy food from their lunch counter or use their pharmacy. Just walk in by customer service and head on back.

This CVS is one of the best. I always find what I need and employees are very knowledgeable about the store. They are very courteous and helpful. The store manager has been very kind on many occasions. Will continue to use this store.

I have been a customer at CVS on Lexington for ~10 years. The service at the pharmacy started going downhill since COVID (understandably), but it just continues to get worse. The staff are not just rude and dismissive but inept. The last several times I’ve been to the pharmacy my rx are wrong (and not from the MD calling meds in incorrectly). I have no doubt staffing is an issue across all
Pharmacies but I can’t bear another visit. If the staff were a smidge more pleasant or considerate I probably would. Transferring Rx to Walgreeens or Kroger today. I’ve finally met my limit.
