Extremely unprofessional behavior from an employee today. A customer was confronted loudly and rudely (from a distance) in front of others, because she does not always make a purchase before leaving. I know she was not shoplifting, so the DG employee definitely doesnât have any benefit of the doubt from me.
Itâs especially bold to comment on someone not making a purchase in Dollar General of all places, given how theyâre known nationwide for being poorly-stocked, and mostly a convenient place to check for a last minute item or get a specific item cheaply when itâs in stock. Who HASNâT made hopeful last-minute trips into a Dollar General and begrudgingly going to a different store because DG was out of stock of the last ingredient you need for dinner, or paper plates you need for an impromptu party?
Genuinely, what was the plan? I know Dollar General at least previously had a âno interferenceâ policy for suspected shoplifting, what happened to that? Those policies exist because even (much kinder) open confrontation can put anyone in the store in unnecessary danger at worst, and at best, discourage innocent customers from returning. Dollar General employees arenât trained in enforcing law, and should think twice about their confidence. Customers generally have a right to not be baselessly accused of a crimeâŚ

The unprofessionalism here is unbelievable. Why are your employees falsely accusing customers of stealing? While I was shopping I witnessed blatant harassment and bullying. One of your employees tried to stop a customer from leaving the store because she didn't purchase nothing, and loudly insisted for everyone to hear she must be stealing because of how often she visits the store. Have y'all not heard about window shopping? Or what if you didn't have what she wanted? And why are your employees monitoring how often a customer visits your store? Won't be coming here again if that's what you call customer service. More like customer interrogation!

All the employees are horrible. The service there is what you get when you hire the bottom of the barrel staff. They should fire everyone

If I could leave a negative x10 star review I would but unfortunately you donât get that option so on that note this is the dirtiest dollar general store I have ever seen there is a parking lot I believe somewhere under all of the trash that surrounds the store and then carries throughout the houses and businesses around it so the surrounding local businesses look like trash because of Dollar General and there no cleanup policy I guess they have. I am constantly picking up trash out of my yard from Dollar General. I am so ready to file a lawsuit against Dollar General for the filthiness that comes from there and into our yards then walking in the store looks like a tornado hit it 10 years ago there is trash an filth through out the entire store itâs never been swept or mopped the employees are always high and rude only one is worth saving and she has been there for awhile now she is a lovely person but this place is so nasty and unorganized that the products and shelves are completely covered in dust and dirt dollar general, you need to step your game up instead of worrying about how many stores you can open and have you need to worry about the quality of your stores and your products that you are selling . All dollar generals in Louisville suck but this particular one in a Fairdale is the nastiest of all I would rather go to the garbage dump and shop verse walking into this store hope you get it together soon Dollar General. But I doubt it.

Store is mismanaged. Every employee is either a drug addict, single mom who brings child to work or misanthropes.

Here at 12:35 PM on a Monday and needed something behind the counter. Apparently nobody works here. Scaled the whole store. Not an employee in sight.

It's Sunday afternoon and all the lights are on. They have signs hanging up on the door saying CARD ONLY but the sliding door is locked??? #Frustrating

Poor selection, 1 staff member with toddler behind counter, no manager, stock in boxes everywhere. Can barely walk through aisles. Only perk is itâs walking distance from my house.
