Downtown Family YMCA is known for its helpful and friendly staff, who are described as knowledgeable, kind, patient, and the best in the city. The facility is clean, well maintained, and features a great steam room, sauna, and a beautiful locker room. Equipment looks new and includes cycle spin, treadmill, elliptical, free weights, muscle bench, cut muscle machines, and floor exercise stretch. There is also a separate workout area for women and a swim. Members say the Y offers terrific facilities and literally every piece of equipment and class offered at any YMCA in the country. The staff shows visitors around and signs them up, making it a great place for everyone and any workout.

Everyone is so friendly & pleasant. I see so many different walks of life in the YMCA. It reminds me that I live in a vibrant city; a true downtown location. The Y is so cool; I have been shouting it from the rooftops to my friends. I left a long-time boutique gym membership to come join the Y!
