This bike shop is amazing!
I recently got a used bike that needed some love. I used it for a few days before a tire blew out, so it needed repairs. Luckily for me, Falls City Community BikeWorks was open on that day.
I brought it in and was greeted by Colin, who was very friendly. He hooked me up with Andy, who helped me get new tubes and used tires on the wheels. We also checked the spokes and wheel alignment and adjusted the breaks. The ride home was very smooth and I couldn't be happier. The prices are affordable as heck.
Andy was super knowledgeable and explained everything really well. I learned a lot and should be able to do most of my own work going forward, but I will be going back because the shop is just so cool.
Thanks a ton, Andy and Colin! You guys rock.

Follow-up 4/17/25: went last tonight to learn basic maintenance and to get a flat tire repaired. I’ve been using it for general commuting to/from work. Carsen and Andy(?) spent about 2 hours showing me how to take care of my bike. Absolutely wonderful people and a great community organization. Definitely check them out and support them!

Bought a bike last week since I wanted something affordable for work commuting, but I couldn’t trust Facebook marketplace as I know NOTHING about bikes and figured I’d get ripped off. I was super happy to a local non profit that works with bicycles.
Since buying the bike I can’t stop riding it everywhere! They were super helpful, and just in general are doing wonderful work in the community. They sell recycled bikes, teach you how to do maintenance, etc. I think it was Ben (?? Maybe? I’m terrible with names - my social skills suck) who helped me find a bike that matched my needs. He then gave it full check over prior to selling.
I haven’t been on a bike in nearly 20 years, and I’ve probably ridden it 6-7 hours just in the last few days. It’s addictive and great for a low impact workout. It has the added benefit to getting you places with no gas costs.
Primary downside I can see is that now I’m blowing a ton of money on additional accessories to pimp out the bike (mirrors, storage rack, etc.) Second downside is now my son and wife want one too.
Highly recommend! And just be vigilant while riding bikes around town and always wear a helmet. Louisville drivers are still Louisville drivers, but I’ve had a blast thus far!

I couldn't have asked for more helpful people! My partner and I came in with a popped tire and left with an additional bike, knowledge and experience, and smiles on our faces. Thank y'all so much for the assistance you gave us. We will 100% be returning here for all our bike needs!p.s. great music too!
