Stores always closed at bizarre hours. The little blonde likes to lock the door and sit in a car getting stoned with her boyfriend. You can literally smell it. Come on!

I have never posted a negative review but —- this is crazy! Store is always closed for something. I walk here and never know if I’m going to be able to get in. Currently closed for “shift change”. It has been closed for about 30mins, and they have missed out on about 20 customers. Other reasons they have been closed in the past are: no reason given, lunch with no return back time, understaffed ( I know people who have applied and never hear back though), Apple Pay/card system down, etc. Super unprofessional, not sure how this location is still operating. A dollar general just opened nearby, I’ll be going there from now on.

You can always find a bargain here and some cool items. I didn't purchase the pictures but I did notice a few that are sold at the AT HOME store for $10 to $20 more. I did snag a cool T-shirt for $9!

First off, the coupon system is a joke. Then, the cashier (a female) just kept telling me what her screen said..I don’t work here, so what’s next and what needs to be done?? I don’t need to be read to. I showed her my number in the app and she just kept telling me her computer said it wasn’t there..like ok?? Well what do we do then? If you don’t know, just say that. I really should’ve just went to Walmart (20 minutes away) to save myself the hassle or spent the extra money at Kroger. She wasn’t rude, I just expected an “I’m sorry about this” at the very least, considering how much money I spend in that store. ??♀️ Bye Family Dollar, I’ll continue my business at Kroger.

I go to this store often. It has the cat litter I like and the store manager does a great job trying to keep things in stock that are important and common needs. I've been in Family Dollars across the country and this one has a wonderful selection. Of course, the Covid supply line issues have an impact and the employees are sometimes grumpy but that is everywhere. The prices are good and I would WAY rather shop for necessities here than the Kroger right up the block. Yes, sometimes the hours are weird here because people don't want to work much these days but it's a small price to pay.

The store was always closed when I went there. Now it has a new manager and a new team and they’re trying their best to get it looking good. I appreciate their positive and helpful attitudes. They may not have everything stocked yet, but at least they’re open when they’re supposed to be! Great job guys!

Don't bother. Empty shelves and tons of boxes of inventory laying around with no one putting any of it away. Just people collecting a paycheck.

Are you itching to shop at a store that's in constant disarray? Want to bask in a grimy, worn-to-bits retail atmosphere that makes the other local dollar stores look like Whole Foods by comparison? Ready to mingle with employees who went to the Eric Cartman School of Manners and seem to make up their reality as they go? If you said "YES" to any of the above, welcome to your twisted version of paradise. Let's be real here, Family Dollar is one of the lowest rungs on the retail ladder to begin with. The recent rodent infestation at one of their distribution centers, which resulted in hundreds of temporary store closures, is Exhibit A in that regard. And yet, even by the brand's basement-level standards, this Brownsboro Rd location is shockingly vile. It seriously feels like one of the most likely places in Louisville where you'd end up bringing bed bugs home; right up there with the sketchy motels around Bashford Manor, or Chewy's call center. Even before the retail labor shortage, and even before COVID, this store has evoked an enduring question: How in the unholy [REDACTED] is this place still open?!

In November 2021, I was literally assaulted by an employee at this location and subsequently my phone destroyed by the same employee. I have video up until my phone being taken from me and destroyed, receipts of attempted repairs that didn’t work on my phone, pictures of my destroyed phone. I contacted the District Manager (Roger) and they also had video of the employee assaulting me on their CC Cameras (he invited me in so he could see my video, and showed me theirs’ in return). Despite taking liability, Family Dollar’s insurance company is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of. I’m out $1k+ for my phone since NOVEMBER. So throughout holiday and tax season, I’ve been short $1k+ because of Family Dollar’s negligence.
