All of my comments are directed to the Home Office of Fifth Third Bank rather than any one of their branches.Fifth Third Bank sent me a mailer announcing a very attractive offer for new customers who open a checking account. The offer stated was:1. Open a new account by November 13, 2023. I did this.2. Direct Deposit $3,000 within 90 days of opening. I did this.3. Fifth Third Bank will pay you $450. They refused to do this. When I called the local bank branch, I was told by the Branch Manager that the Direct Deposit had to come from a paycheck. I told him that the offer only said Direct Deposit and that is what I did by moving funds from my saving account to the new checking account. He told me that this was an ACH deposit and not a Direct Deposit. We argued about the terminology and the false advertising they used to draw me in. He basically told me to have a nice day and hung up.According to financial and business experts "Direct Deposit is the direct electronic transfer of funds from one bank account to another without using traditional physical methods. Here, the payment leaves the payer's account and reaches the payee's account directly in just a few clicks through a safe and secure digital platform, ensuring an instant transactional exchange".As you can see, there is no mention of any paycheck being any integral part of a Direct Deposit. As mentioned above, I followed Fifth Third Bank's rules exactly. The problem is that they wanted a deposit from an employer rather than the Direct Deposit the offer states in their promo mailing. I'm sure they thought this would be one way to attract employers and business owners to their bank by using the back door of a fictitious checking account offer to one of their employees.Other than wasting a lot of my time getting me to open a new account, and then having to close it because they stiffed me out of $450 due to their malfeasance, my only recourse to any satisfaction is to spread the word wherever I can. Fifth Third Bank not only has a goofy name but they cannot be trusted. Stay away from them and use another bank - Fifth Third Bank is a scam artist.

Do not trust the people behind the counter as they will mislead you and lie to you about how their systems work.I personally am about to close my account with them at this point

I’ve had a much more positive experience since I started using drive through. I don’t even have a car. I just walk up. Only encountered one overly officious person.

Fifth Third has always treated me like a valued customer whether inside the building or using drive thru (while walking with my dog). While they are a regional bank, but feels like a hometown/local bank; they make me feel like a person. Fast, friendly and efficient. Lots of parking available, drive through, and an ATM (in one of the drive through lanes) in addition to banking in the lobby. And they accommodate walk-through with pets. They're also following all COVID-19 protocols, masks, hand sanitizer, plexiglass dividers, and free pens if you use one.

This location has the most disrespectful employees I've ever talked to. They have no clue how to handle any business matter .

This bank sells TARC passes. This is a 5/3rd bank with a drive through and an ATM if you're in a pinch. If you're a member of 5/3rd Bank or are in need of TARC passes, this bank is for you.

I am a mess when it comes to banking because I am legally blind -- but they always are patient even when its my fault! I've been with them for years, and I will stay loyal to this bank. Good people without all the shady corporate ethics.
