Loved our first visit here! Huge selection of bourbons, wine, etc The bar area is spacious and comfortable with a wide variety of seating options and live music starting at 7pm. In easy walking distance to Grapeleaf, Time for Thai, Cafe Classico and many other restaurants. So happy we discovered this gem of a bar and definitely will return!

The BEST espresso martinis in town- and actually the best drinks in town. Plus they have 600+ bourbons available to taste...so there's that. . Absolute hidden gem in Louisville. Now... for the holidays, they have are having their pop up Christmas experience! And it's just awesome. Just do it. And go. Oh, bring or order in your own food. Dog friendly. And might just get to meet Moose. If you know, you know.

Neat place. You can sample ANY kind of bourbon or whiskey you want for a small fee. It's also a liquor store and bar. They had live music when we were there. Loved it!

This place has a great tasting selection. The guys behind the bar are knowledgeable and authentic. We were on a trip from Va and really appreciated the hospitality and conversation while bourbon hunting. Definitely a place I would come back and visit.

Hands down, if you are coming to the bourbon trail- this is THE place to hit up for pours at a reasonable price with an insane collection to try from. The staff is so friendly and knows their stuff. Zach and Jennifer were amazing the entire night! I forgot to take a photo of everything else we tried, but trust me, if you were on the fence - this is your sign!!!

Owner bill is awesome, he took time to teach me about bourbon and what goes well with what. The selection at his bar is top notch. If you can’t find it to have a taste there, chances are it doesn’t exist. Soon as I go back, one of my first places to go to have a drink.

We found FAL on a TikTok video saying it was a must go for their selection and knowledgeable staff. My husband were in there at 1pm on a Monday, which turned out to be pretty lucky because we got to spend some 1 on 1 time with the owner, Bill! He gave us tips on have to taste the bourbons and suggestions on what we should bring back home to our friends and family. It was probably one of the highlights of our trip!

Frankfort Avenue Liquors and Wine is a unique addition to one of the best culinary corridors in the city. My husband and I found ourselves in the area recently after a late dinner and decided to pop in and check the place out. Half specialty liquor and wine store and half cocktail bar, I can see this becoming a local staple in the neighborhood. We ordered drinks at the bar and headed to a high-top table to sip and people watch. My general impression was that it was loud for a cocktail bar. The high ceilings that create a feeling of openness during the day became too loud with the live music (country that evening). That alone kept it from having an intimate cocktail feel. The people watching was the best part - young professionals with a hole to burn in their pocket were gathered there that evening. I was amused to see that things nobody my age would have been caught dead in during our early twenties - platform sandals that had gone the way of the last millennium, wide-leg jeans with a mom-jean rise, and large-print floral vests seemed to be en vogue, all pulled together with the plastic hair claws that most places stopped selling 25 years ago...until now. People watching aside, I would pop back in to grab a specialty bottle of wine or liquor, but probably skip the loud late night cocktail hour.

Such a fun place! Bartenders are incredibly friendly and helpful. 5 local craft beers on tap. Plenty of other options in bottles or cans. Live music on weekends. Lots of room to sit and hang out. Looking forward to coming back!

Awesome place! Besides the extensive inventory of all things liquor/wine/beer, the knowledgeable staff make awesome suggestions and provide insights into brands, products, and more! Music on the weekend evenings is a plus! Beers on tap are always changing and always awesome!
