I had a complicated issue with my Hot Topic app account that customer support wasn’t able to resolve remotely, and I was feeling pretty frustrated! Not until I met Jane and Nick. Despite how busy the store was, both of them went out of their way to help me in person with patience, professionalism, and genuine care.
While juggling other tasks and assisting other customers, they took the time to sit down with me and troubleshoot the problem step-by-step. They even wrote down notes while we worked through the issue together to make sure nothing was missed. That kind of attention to detail and customer care is rare, and I honestly didn’t expect it whatsoever.
On top of that, Jane personally helped me adjust and fit a belt I needed for a convention I was attending. She took the time to make sure it fit just right, with care and style advice that made a big difference. Her enthusiasm and kindness made the whole experience not just helpful, but genuinely fun.
Huge shoutout and thank you to both of them. :)

I had to go there to pick up sweatshirts I bought online for my son. The sweatshirts came in at different times, so I had to go twice. Both times the employees were super friendly and very helpful.

This company has my identifying info for sale on on its website, according to my monitoring company. Even though I've never been there. Clothing sales is just a front, for the much more lucrative business of buying & selling ids. Run, don't walk, as far & fast as you can.

Terrible customer service. They had a shirt on display we wanted to buy for our daughter, but they refused to sell it because of some sort of inventory control they had going on. Apparently we happened to be there at the one time during the year they couldn’t sell this item. Staff was completely rude and unhelpful. Here’s a tip, conduct your inventory after hours when customers aren’t present.

Always a fun place to go to. I've been shopping at various hot topics for the last 3-4 years. The hot cash and the buy one get one for a dollar clearance is the best. Staff at this location are normally very nice. Recently I was able to find these pins that I love!

The hot topic in st Matthews mall is totally great and way more like the hot topic I have always remembered years ago when they opened with rows of band tees and all the cutesy sexy girly clothes and just anything someone into things like hello Kitty, nightmare before Christmas, "goth" style or skater type style could ask for. Any of the "hot" topics people get into. Jefferson Mall and some of the others for one aren't near as big as this one and the content seems to veer a little off of the store I always remember it being. The only one that I think comes close to this one is the outlet in Simpsonville or whatever. You will not be disappointed in this store even my kids love shopping here and there's a twenty year age difference so definitely something for everyone if you just have a look. The employees have always been friendly and helpful as well even when super busy they find time to help you and they smile doing so.

This place is loved by my teenage granddaughters. They carry a lot of Loungfly backpacks and purses. I've bought some for adults too. I bought myself an Alice in wonderland purse that everyone loves! I get a lot of compliments on it. They carry all kinds of things with your favorite Disney characters and Harry Potter and so much more. This has become one of my favorite places to shop for gifts and a little something for myself every now and then too. Check them out, it's addictive.

Absolutely amazing store and they always have an amazing, and helpful staff!! Never a bad thing to say about this location! I always get the help I need and find the things I'm looking for and they always go the extra mile! It's such a shame that the pay for Hot Topic on Indeed is listed at $7.50, that's embarrassing to pay hardworking employees in 2024, they need to up their pay because they always do a STELLER job!! :) I used to work in retail and it's a hard job, they deserve more.
