“The Inn at Woodward is a Gothic masterpiece, beautifully appointed with historical significance. The innkeepers, Jeremy and Mark, have identified and provided every comfort. They make tasty goodies available throughout each stay and serve an incredible breakfast menu. Our room was luxurious yet comfortable. We would travel hours to experience such a stay and are quite fortunate to enjoy this experience right here in Louisville. Thanks to Jeremy and Mark for a truly memorable visit!”

“Nice place with great staff...Rooms: Comfortable beds... Great water pressure in the shower.Noteworthy details: The lobby has activities for one or many. Billiards, janga game, foosball. There's a nice bar... Lots of TVs on the walls... Lots of seating for groups.”
“Great Location and great atmosphere. Sarah, our bartender, was awesome. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. The zombie tacos were delicious. Our view was fabulous. No fridge, which was a bummer, but otherwise very clean and affordable.”

“Jeff and Alicia with valet are phenomenal! The hotel is beautiful, the only thing preventing the last star for me is that I travel with a service dog and there is no grass area right here for me to take him. Comes with the downtown area for the most part, lots of interesting shops and good food.Walkability: Everything seems to be in a good waking distance.Food & drinks: Lots of food and drink options in walking distance.”
“Very nice and clean hotel. Friendly staffs. The location also perfect, lot of bussines places and the malls close to the hotel we booked a room with kitchen, complete with the cooking equipment. One thing, the shampoo and soap bottles containers are away too high, my kids couldn't reach them in the shower. It wasn't a big deal though. We were enjoyed stay in this hotel. ?”

“The Brown, is, like others say, an incredible throwback in time. In its day, The Brown must have been completely spectacular, and many parts still are. The lobby is phenomenal. When you sit there you are almost transported to 1943- where the room would be buzzing with music, soldiers, smoke, drinks, and well dressed ladies. The hotel staff is great all around- very polite and accommodating. Elevators are good. Ballroom is nostalgic elegance- but needs some TLC. The location is decent, but not great, as it’s not near that much. The rooms *can* be an issue. Our first room had many defects- broken trim, large carpet stains, pealing wall paper, dirty doors, and worst of all, a very strong musty odor. The staff quickly moved us to a new room, and they made sure it wasn’t musty first. They also comped breakfast (after I asked). Thats all great, but the first room should have been checked and never booked to a customer in the first place. One strange thing- we have never seen toilets that are so low to the ground. What’s with that?? The food is decent; not the best, but seemingly good for the area. I am not a huge fan of the Hot Brown, but I guess others like it. On to the gym- it’s basic, and more of an afterthought. The gym is located on the 4th floor. That floor is really too beat up to show to customers. There is a rooftop deck on the 16th floor, which is nice, and most people don’t seem to know about. If you like nostalgia, period decor, and 1920’s architecture, you will love The Brown. My advice would be to inspect your room ASAP and change it if anything is wrong. In my personal opinion, the overall hotel needs some TLC. However, it is clearly not an easy property to maintain given how intricate and old it is. Hopefully The Brown will last, with some upgrades, for years to come. There are too few places like it anymore.”
“We stayed here while visiting distilleries in Louisville! We were very impressed. The rooms were super clean, service was exceptional and the “old fashion hour” each evening was an added bonus! If we are ever back up in the Louisville area we will be sure to stay here again!”

“Stayed her for 4 nights while exploring the Bourbon Trail. Our room and private bath were clean, and comfortable. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing - I asked for several recipes because it was all so good. The hosts were kind and helpful, and had great stories to share. We enjoyed our stay so much, and were sad to learn the owners are in the process of selling! Glad we got the chance to stay here :)”

“Not bad, but not spectacular. Desk agents were efficient, not friendly or welcoming. They had a pitiful Christmas tree. Now that I think about it, the reason the desk agents stared so intently with out speaking/smiling every time I walked in, wasn't the massive buger I had smeared across my face unknowingly. They were traumatized by the sparsely decorated and lighted Christmas tree. They were subliminally alerting me that The Grinch was real and had not only taken the ornaments and lights, he was taking their warm Christmas joy night after night.”

“I only stayed there one night, I was feeling paranoid at the time. This was the April b4 last. I got an eerie feeling when I was there, there were many celebs in the river restaurant. It's practically walking distance to the hotel, you know I got the feeling that some people were planning an unexpected visit, thank God that I left the next day, Kathy Ahern”

“Our stay at Cambria Hotel Louisville was outstanding! The location, service, and accommodations were top-notch. Special thanks to Joseph Hess at the front desk for his exceptional assistance in tracking down and shipping a lost item back to us promptly. “Went to this hotel for the Miami Hurricanes game against Louisville. Great experience, free shuttle to and from airport, clean room, exceptional location to restaurants and bars and Raeleigh at the front desk was great!
Even walked back from L&N stadium, only a 3.5 mile walk through nice back streets. Tons of CANES fans staying at the hotel and we came away with the big W!!!”

“Checked in October 16th for an event my daughter had at Sullivan University. Stayed 2 nights and 3 days. Luck be have it we were less than a mile away, practically across the busy street from the dorms she had to be at so we were very close! Not far from the university either so location was perfect for us! My mother is handicapped so we asked for an assessable room. She is paralyzed on her right side so we were thrilled when we got into our room and the assessable bathroom was built for a left handed person! It is so hard to find handicap public bathrooms with the safety bars on the left side and not only were they on the left for the toilet, they were in the shower as well! The shower was great for her with a sit down bench and a shower head on a handheld sprayer. Water temp and pressure was amazing and I loved just standing there when it was my turn. The room was big plenty of room for her wheelchair and our luggage without feeling claustrophobic. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Even had a chair she could comfortably sit in and get out of, which is also rare. The lobby was massive, it was clean, and very new looking. Breakfast was your standard Continental breakfast with cheesy omelet options, sausage patties, sausage, gravy, biscuit, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, muffins, and a pancake maker. Also had fresh coffee and juice. If my daughter ends up going to school in Louisville, this is for sure the hotel we will be staying at when we visit!”

We would stay here again the next time we are in the area or even needing to stop while driving through.”

“Over the years we have stayed at this property five or six times. As with most service industries, the quality of service has deteriorated, but it’s still better than most. It will remain my go to hotel for the foreseeable future.
Rooms: Both the sleeping area and bathroom were larger than most hotels of this class. The mattress was in excellent condition and the hotel was very clean as we should all hope.”

“It's too nice to give a lower than 5 star rating on service, but 4 days without half and half is a bit much lol. Great place regardless ??
Nearby activities: Very close to the convention center”
“We had a wonderful experience. From the time we made our reservations until the time we checked out everything was fantastic. Allen was the perfect host. We asked for a Anniversary celebration package for our friends and it was fabulous. Wine, roses and chocolate coverd strawberries. The mansion is beautiful and welcoming. Historic neighborhood. Our room was very comfortable. Allen was so helpful and accommodating, from assisting with dinner reservations to the amazing breakfasts, wonderful homemade cookies to the fabulous old fashions! We would highly recommend the Louisville Bourbon Inn!”
