Ahi Tuna is to die for! Escargot is also very excellent.

Jack Fry's is a community icon and standard for the best food and service in the area. I have not tried a dish that wasn't above excellence! The historic feel of the restaurant coupled with the food makes for an unforgettable experience!

What an awesome place! The food was superb. The service was excellent. Our only complaint is the seating is very crowded but more of a burden for the staff serving than the patrons. It is one of the best meals we have had. Enjoyed it so much.

There are so many reasons why Jack Fry's is a Louisville institution. If you've been, you understand. If you haven't dined here, what are you waiting for?

Absolute perfection. We adore the ambiance and history of this restaurant. The service is friendly and on point. Every item we ordered was perfection from the escargot, ahi tuna, pork chop and salmon! We ended the night sharing the marshmallow ice cream which was smooth, creamy and delicious! We can't wait to come back. This is going to be a regular spot for us.

We had an amazing meal with exceptional service. Jack Fry's has been a staple in Louisville since before I was born. Cute and intimate setting perfect for a special date night.

Wonderful food with nice twists on classics. Service was excellent. Unfortunately for us there was a party at a table near us that was extremely loud—to the point that other patrons would glance and smile amongst each other at how rudely loud this one particular table was. When the loud table left, it was such a pleasant atmosphere. Obviously, this is not the restaurant's fault. My wife and I enjoyed a great meal and would definitely recommend Jack Fry's to anyone in the area. Loved our server; he was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations.

What happened to the great Jack Fry's? Food was less than mediocre . Brie salad was sloppy and without the usually wonderful dressing. Shrimp and grits arrived luke warm at best. I miss the high quality of food this treasure is known for.

Jack Fry's has some of the best food in Louisville yet, service seems to miss the mark 2/2 visits. We requested a booth and we were seated at a tiny table next to the street, while multiple booths sat open our entire dining experience. We visited on my actual birthday, which we noted in the reservation, and the server did not mention it once. During dessert, espresso gelato was a 10/10, a manager stopped by and I felt uncomfortable having to ask if they recognize birthdays. He said, "it's your birthday?" and brought something out with a candle.

This place lived up to the hype of one of Louisville's most iconic fine dining restaurants. Took my lady here for Valentine's Day and was immediately blown away by the ambiance of the live jazz pianist and the dimly lit intimate setting. The wine list was very impressive, I got a pinot noir and my lady got a moscato. The server was very attentive and patient with me, allowing me to sample a malbec first (a bit too dry for my palate) before I settled on the pinot. Next time I'll try some of their top shelf bourbon! However, the star of the show was definitely the entree. I had the beef filet (medium rare) and my lady had the pork chop. I absolutely loved the pairing of the asparagus and the crispy potatoes, and had to admire the presentation of the dish before digging in. I was a little too full for dessert, but I'll try the cheesecake next time!Definitely make a trip to Jack Fry's next time you have something to celebrate or just want to impress your girl, it's an absolute gem and you won't leave hungry.Parking: There are maybe a dozen spots in the free lot next to the building. But if you're here during prime dinner hours you may need to park on Bardstown Road.
