How very much this has changed in a year. Always come here during the Truck Show but this year was our last time going to Joe's Crab Shack. Way too expensive and not the same food as previous years.Parking: Not a lot of parking during heavy eating times.

$4.00 parking, $240 bill, not impressed with the lobster tail, being the size of a crawfish. The asparagus was like spaghetti noodles. The flavors were alright, but too overpriced for what we were served. The server was alright, but we've had better. Who ever walkes around checking on the customers, could have actually been more engaged. No eye contact, looked as if she just woke up from break. This was our 3rd time at this location, no complaints before, so maybe it was just an off night. But I would have been embarrassed if I had to serve the meals that we received.

I got a sea food boil bag anddd it was bland. Not going to lie to you I would not recommend. The flavor was not there at all. Service was cool and the scenery was nice though since we sat outside.

So we decided to come out and eat at Joe’s crab shack on March 2, 2024. For some reason I thought it’d be a great idea to sit on the balcony. It was cold. It was windy and the kids weren’t having it, but the manager, sorry, forgot his name came out and let us know about another area out on the balcony that has a heater, and we can still enjoy the ocean views from Kentucky. We enjoyed our food. It was so good. I had the shrimp trio, which was like shrimp scampi, blackened shrimp, and bacon wrap shrimp. The rice with the meal was great, broccoli was a little overcooked, but the shrimp was great. The Service, the lady was amazing. I don’t know why I forgot her name. We will definitely be back to this location. They did everything correctly. Ooh yes and the kids loved the create your own sundae! My kids really loved the create your own Sunday the kids specialty drinks with a shark.we will definitely be back to this location. They did everything correctly.

Came to Joe’s because I had my dog with me and needed a dog friendly restaurant. I was extremely pleased with everything about my experience. I called ahead to make sure dogs were allowed, the person on the phone was very kind and pleasant. When we got there, they asked us where we would like to sit & accommodated us with a large dog by letting us sit to the side with nobody in the tables around. Our server, Carlos, was nothing short of incredible! He was not only a great person, but he was ON IT, our drinks never went below halfway, he had suggestions, jokes, attention to detail, etc. at the end, I asked for a box for my chicken tenders- he brought the box with both the sauces I had in to go containers without me even asking! A few other things I’d like to mention: One of the other servers gave my dog a bucket of water and the food was incredible, especially the sampler appetizer! The ONLY “bad” thing is you have to pay to park your car by the restaurant, since it is on the river.I have nothing but great things to say about Joe’s - if you’re ever in Louisville, check them out!Parking: Had to pay $10 to park

We spent over $300.00 on our meals and the food was horrible and very small portions. I got the Joe's classic steam pot and got 2 very very small ends of corn, 5 undeveined shrimp, 3 PCs. Sausage, 7 potatoe half's, and the smallest 2 sets of crab legs snow and duenges I ever seen none of the crab legs had meat as big as my pinkie finger in them and there was no juice it was like they just had been sitting out and they dumped old bay seasoning on it and served it. The deep fried shrimp was battered and still had the shell on it. All of our food was horrible. My first time eating there we went for my son and law's birthday and that's the last time I will go back. And I didn't mention the fact that the waitress served our food and was gone for 20 minutes before she came back

As a US Olympian, it's very hard to be cordially greeted and felt welcomed but at this establishment, with Desrae we felt very comfortable and we're at home at this restaurant. We were greeted to the patio in a reservation and we were able to watch the boats drive by in the planes fly by during a wonderful spring-ish day. We ordered the captain's platter and of course a couple margaritas !!!
