Dishonest and more expensive than a dealership. Recommend Virgilio’s in Shelbyville. They are honest and transparent.
Called for a front brake estimate. Told $209. Then upon inspection told that my brakes are not in terrible shape, and it would cost over $800 to replace. That is 4 times what I was told by Pep Boys when I made the appointment and more than at the Ford dealership.
Wasted my one morning off work dealing with dishonest people who thrive at cheating people.

I entered Pep Boys with a simple plea: to replace ONE damaged tire. My other three tires, practically infants in the automotive world, were brand new. The initial check-in was a deceptive lull before the storm. The employee, a seeming ally, confirmed my tires were in pristine condition, a beacon of hope in a world of automotive deceit. I dared to believe I'd found a place of reason.
Then, the HOUR of waiting. An eternity trapped in their sterile waiting room, my hope slowly draining away. Then, HE appeared. The manager. A figure of corporate tyranny, a puppet of Pep Boys' profit-hungry agenda. With a voice as cold as a winter wind, he declared the 'POLICY.' FOUR tires. Not one. FOUR. My pleas fell on deaf ears. My logic, a mere whisper against the iron fist of their 'rules.'
I was a victim of a bait-and-switch of epic proportions! Their employee, my supposed guide, had led me into a trap. They dared to call my brand-new tires inadequate, a monstrous lie to justify their greed. The nerve! The sheer, unadulterated AUDACITY!
I was forced to witness the destruction of my time, my trust, and my sanity. I left Pep Boys not just a customer scorned, but a soul wounded. I will spread the word of their treachery! I will warn others of the tire tyranny that reigns within their walls! NEVER AGAIN will I step foot in this den of deceit! Let my experience be a chilling cautionary tale! AVOID PEP BOYS AT ALL COSTS!

No one likes having to have their vehicle repaired suddenly, especially when you are driving to have a procedure done for your partner at the hospital across the street! Luckily these guys were open and able to see us. We dropped the car off around noon, yesterday, and Hussein, working the front desk, said that they would look at it today, but wasn't sure that they could get it repaired due to staffing. We understood and walked down the street to get some food and snagged a ride home. It wasn't but a couple hours after that, we received a phone call from them, letting us know that not only did they figure out what was wrong but they could get it done that same day! Just a few more hour passed and we were called letting us know that the car is ready, so we snagged another ride back out there and paid and were so thrilled the emergency that happened that morning was behind us!
I think the pricing was fair for what we had done too, so that's a definite plus!
I want to give huge props to Hussein working the front desk and Robert, the tech who was able to get us taken care of! While we won't be switching here from our usual shop (closeness and I get a discount there through my job), we will absolutely recommend these guys to our friends and family in the area!
Thanks a ton, I hope they get all the raises this year!

First and foremost, I completely understand the frantic and frustrating feeling when something is wrong with your car. Getting an exact cost is unheard of, you may not be sure what is actually wrong with it, and like me you have no one that can look at it for free or cheap to tell you what it may be. Today, after needing to have my car jumped 4 times to get to work meetings, I frantically searched mechanic near me in google. Assuming it was my battery and praying it wasn’t my alternator I called the first place that popped up - Pep Boys in Breckenridge. The gentlemen that answered the phone was able to provide a rough estimate and let me know a timeline on getting me in and out. Once I arrived they recognized my voice and greeted me making small talk about what we discussed on the phone. They quickly checked me in and got my car in less than 10 minutes later. Within another 10 minutes they came out to show me the readings from my battery and let me know the exact cost. In a very frustrating moment these fellas made it incredibly easy and smooth to get in and get out so I can get back to work. Whatever you’re paying them - they deserve more because that level of service was great.

The guys at pep boys Breckenridge store sure took good care of me and my brakes on my truck. Thanks guys for doing such a good job and in a timely manner. Repair money given is no fun for anyone. But these guys did it at a very reasonable cost. Also they sent me a tracker to know what's going on with the car, what they found and what they're going to fix how much it's going to be before they even started working on it. Excellent job guys!

Excellent service the technician kept me an my wife informed every step told us about the bent rim we had when he was putting our new tires on and told us who could remove the dent in which they didn't have to do I'm so satisfied with their service would recommend them to anyone and I even got a veteran's discount I'll be back again won't even hesitate thank you guys again...
