Visiting the area without our dogs, so had to check the place out, and get our dog fix. What an awesome place! Had fun petting everyone's dogs and talking to their owners. My dogs would love this place. Very friendly staff, and they were right on top of everything happening. Would love to open something like this in our area of Northern Michigan.

Friendly staff. Solid beer menu. Both indoor (heated and cooled) and outdoor play area with tons of staff watching over the dogs. My wife and I brought our two frenchies while they were doing Santa photos. We had a blast. They even allowed us to watch our favorite college football game with sound. We can’t wait to go back.

Dog-friendliness: It is a dog park bar?. Great staff. Always something fun going on. I like it that dogs must be vaccinated. When you purchase from PG&J's, you are helping animals in need by their generous donations!

Didn't like that they would let aggressive dogs in and not ask the owners to leave

What a great dog bar! Mostly people seem to bring larger dogs. We didn't bring our little dog, but met up with some friends who brought their big dog. You have to sign in with a waiver, whether you bring a dog or not. They have a good system of entry & exit. Full bar & nice staff. We went when they had a Santa photo event, which seems popular. No food served, but you can bring food as long as you don't feed it to the dogs, even your own. We brought in pizza from Good Fellas down the street. Bathroom was clean, but yes there was a dog in the bathroom, just like it would be at home. Dogs have the rub of the place, indoors & out. Everyone seems to be smiling here. I'll be back, but probably won't be bringing my little pup. There is a little enclosure for small dogs. Great place to meet like-minded dog people!

We’ve tried all the various dog bars nearby. This one is fun. Most of the staff is friendly, & you can tell they love the dogs. I’m not exactly sure what the issue is, but the bathroom here smells absolutely horrendous. When I have to pee, I opt to hold it or leave, instead of having to enter the bathroom. More than once, there have been people come in off the street, without dogs, & ask me & others if they can have the food we’ve brought in. For that reason, I’m not comfortable eating there, which is frustrating. I also wish the water bowls were changed more often. It’s not unusual for there to be >20 dogs present, & the few water dishes they have quickly turn into puddles of slobber. Often my dog will make her way to one of the water bowls, but decide it best to not drink the contents. I end up getting her a cup of the water from the human water cooler, bc I can’t find any way for me to refill the water bowls with fresh water. Free parking spaces are very limited, & we usually have to pay to park in the lot next door. If it’s raining, there is little to no covered space for the dogs to run around in. Other local dog bars offer large covered areas for the dogs to romp in, even if it’s yucky outside. We will return to PJ’s, because it is conveniently located, & usually very fun, but it does leave much to be desired, in my opinion.
