I have had them work a a few of my vehicles. They did what they said they would and at a reasonable price. Honestly not much more to it. I will take my cars there again.

Shields takes the time to explain and gives you options before making any repairs. They don’t overcharge and the staff is so friendly! Always very quick. Customer for life!

Why lie to me? I took my car in because I wanted an overall inspection and to determine why the fan wasn't working. i was told that the relay (brand new) the I installed before was defective and the fan was working when his relay was installed. I've since tried 2 other models of relays that were tested to work fine, and found that the fan still didn't work! I ended up hot wiring the relay (temporarily) to turn the fan relay on/off until I can replace the bad connector under the fuse box (basically, no relay on the planet would have worked in it, so why lie to me and say it worked & waste hours of my time and the parts store's time monkeying around based on what I thought was the truth?). The only thing I can't stand more than a bad mechanic is a lying one. If you can't diagnose (basic) car electronics, you shouldn't be a car mechanic!

The best family operated service. I have been going there for years. It's the only place I go. Their work is exceptional. The pricing is not over the top, and they are very personable . Their communication with you is excellent. I recommend Shields!!

My whole family has been using Shields for decades. Once you find a great service shop for your vehicles that is very reasonable and does great work, you keep going back. I think the thing I like the most is how often they tell me nothing needs to be done. It really makes me trust when they advise me to address an issue. I highly recommend them.

Beware. Shields was recommended by family. They've taken cars there for years with no problems. I, however, had a completely different experience. They were fine, but after very few visits when I picked up my car there was obvious problem. Check gas mileage after every fill-up. When I left car there it was getting 20mpg. When I checked it on 2nd fill-up after repairs it had dropped to 15mpg. Couple more times had same results. They said my brakes were dragging, so I paid to have them repaired. Still 15mpg. This continued couple more times. I asked if they had double checked all work done on visit when this happened. They of course said it wasn't their fault but never actually said they'd checked their work, so I'm assuming they didn't. Each time I paid to "fix" 5mpg loss they caused... the "fix" didn't work. Recently there's been problem with brakes they supposedly fixed very few months before. Not going back. WARNING!! They treated me completely differently than men & younger women in my family. The difference is I'm elderly & disabled. I've learned from experience that many people act like they think we are stupid &/or senile. I'm not. May I suggest using caution if you fit into these or similar categories? Seems they think we're easy to fleece. Elderly & disabled treatment rating: F

Poor communication and will not give quotes for simple maintenance work. No way am I going to drop it off for spark plug change and have no idea the cost! If the dealer and every other shop can do it, you can as well.I try and to use smaller family owned places but would not trust this place. We are a family owned company with a fleet of vehicles so they really missed out on huge amount of business over the next 10 years. I know times are good now, but in the bad times read this review and remember customer service ALWAYS counts in good days and in bad.....Service: General repairs & maintenance

Find somewhere better. Do not go here. Insane overcharge for simple sensor replacement not to mention we discovered they actually forgot to do an oil change we paid for from a previous visit. Imagine I hadn't gone back for a separate issue! Negligence could have caused engine damage. I will not be returning.Services: Oil change

Fast, friendly and tons of experience. Took my car to 2 other places paid a fee for diagnosis but couldn't tell me the issue without dummy lights on. They were able to diagnose and fix in the same day. It's worth the few bucks more for service when you know you can trust the mechanic. Will use again.Services: Auto engine diagnostic

Mason and team have worked on several vehicles for me over the years, and I've never felt taken advantage of or lied to. They explain everything very well, they're always nice to talk to and offer suggestions but don't push anything. On more than one occasion they've told me something that they say could be done, but doesn't really need it or can wait if I want to. Prices are reasonable, and they work fast and keep you informed the entire time they have your car. I highly recommend Shields!Services: General repairs & maintenance

They were extremely helpful in helping me with my out of town daughter's car. Hooked me up with a reputable tow service, diagnosed problem quickly, and made recommendation based on active service bulletin that I take car to dealer for repairs.
