Room was fine. Sink in the bathroom was absurdly small. Location was decent. Elevators didn't work. Trying to find the breakfast some sort of mind game. Asked the front desk staff how to get to their breakfast and her first inclination was to accuse me of not being a guest. After I assured her I was in fact staying, she told me there was no way to get to the breakfast via the stairs. Just go to the breakfast next door. It's a lot easier to get to.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! These people profile and discriminate. We checked in for one night to watch our son run in his first college track meet. What started out as a wonderful weekend was turned upside down when my husband went down to the lobby for coffee and an outside break. I received a call from the front desk asking about a man in their lobby. I replied with his name and they said they didn’t know because he couldn’t tell them their name and that he seemed cognitively off. My husband is a 4 year stroke survivor and suffers from aphasia and apraxia which are communication disorders. I explained his cognition was fine and that he suffers from the communication disorders. They said he wasn’t allowed to be unattended and said the police have been called and I needed to come down. Of course I was terrified something bad happened and it did. I explained he wasn’t able to give them the information they demanded because of his disabilities from his stroke and one of the ladies replied that she has had 2 strokes and 4 brain surgeries…what that had to do with anything is beyond me other than show me that even though this supposedly happened to her she didn’t recognize the signs or even have sympathy for his situation. She was the one who called the police!! He was dressed head to toe in OSU gear and was wearing his letterman jacket and had his “murse” on him yet they still accused him of being a vagrant and demanded to see his keys. He handed them to them and instead of calling the room or asking him for an ID when he couldn’t state his name they called the police. When I was finally able to get him back up to the room and go back down with his mother to speak to the desk they said he was being aggressive and that’s why the police were called. We asked how he was aggressive and they said he walked toward them around the desk. He had already explained to me he was trying to point to the phone to tell them to call me. And when I asked them what made them think he was homeless wearing OSU gear they said that they have a problem with homeless coming in and that the homeless in KY dress extremely nice. One of them said they come in in suits and gators. This situation just kept getting worse. They told me AGAIN he wasn’t to be unattended in their hotel and couldn’t give me a valid reason why they didn’t call me before letting it get to the point of calling the police. Needless to say when I went back up to pack and get the heck out of there ASAP my husband was sobbing and completely beside himself. The manager called me later that day to apologize for everything…to smooth it over she said she would comp our room and give us marriot points. My husband who was sitting beside me started sobbing all over again as I recounted the incident to the manager. Fast forward…It is now over a week later, I have called 3 times and have been getting the run around. And to make it worse I contacted corporate to let them know that this disgusting DISCRIMINATION AND PROFILING is happening in their hotel and all she could focus on was that the room was at a friends and family rate and that a GM would call me….Which hasn’t happened. There was absolutely no sensitively to my husband’s disability and no follow through on their end. I’m completely sick over this situation as now I have to pick up the pieces of the trauma my husband endured.

The lobby is deceiving and makes the hotel look sketchy. The rooms aren't bad, they're clean but the windows are terrible. If you're sound sensitive, you can hear the traffic , and anytime an emergency vehicle siren passes by, you hear them as if you're standing outside. The food area was clean and well kept. Unfortunately by the time we go there there was slim pickings left so I can't say if it was tasty. The room we were in the TV couldn't connect to Nexflix or any of the streaming apps. Also, after we showered, the floor in the bedroom opposite the shower was soaked even though the bathroom was accessible and should have been sloped to the floor drain in the middle of the floor.

This was a very enjoyable stay. The room was large and would easily accommodate a four-person family, between two queen beds and a sofa bed. Our stay was short but the room seemed clean and well-maintained. Separated toilette and shower made life easier but glass doors meant that light from those areas could disturb those sleeping. The TV was relatively small and its location was constrained by the separated toilette and shower. The lobby staff was great, with special kudos to Dakota, who was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was solid but nothing to write home about. Location is interesting. It is close to many attractions and restaurants but walking around the hotel at night seems very dicey.

You may have a complicated view of this hotel. On the one hand its location and rate are excellent, on the other hand the property is a bit threadbare and a bit- sorry to say- dirty. The staff is very friendly and helpful but the beds are uncomfortable and the HVAC is awful. The fan blows on medium even if you turn the unit off. No vents in the bathroom and the toilet and shower are actually in two spaces.Fitness center has worn equipment and is not clean. The breakfast, which is part of the deal here, is absolutely not good. Stale breads. Rotten fruit left in the bowl. Little yogurt or milk and the reconstituted eggs are tasteless and runny. Maybe some bacon, but if it runs out they do not resupply. Like a waffle? Not here. The tables were not cleaned between guests-not one time in three days did I see a person with a rag and spray wiping them down. Anyway, I love Louisville and next time would stay across the street at the reliable Hampton Inn.Rooms: the beds are uncomfortable and the HVAC is awful. The fan blows on medium even if you turn the unit off. No exhaust vents in the bathroom

Ashley at the front desk is excellent we had run into a little trouble at check in and she handled it with nothing but professionalism went out of her way to make sure things where handled with our handicap accessible room her customer service alone will be the reason we revisit this

Hmmm. I’ve stayed at other Springhill Suites and they’ve been very nice. Generally on par with Hilton’s Hampton Inn. This was the exception.Upon arrival, we parked in the garage. The garage was filthy and there was trash on the ground. It could really use a good power wash.I wasn’t expecting the $20 a day parking fee, buts it’s reasonable enough for the location. The lobby is small, but works well enough. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and attentive. The lobby leading to our room was dated and a little dirty. The carpet was worn and the place is in need of an update. The room was decent, size wise. The bathroom was weird though. As others have noted, the toilet is in its own room with a tiny hand sink. The “shower only” is in a separate room with a standard size sink. Both have sliding barn doors. Sort of odd.The first night, the AC didn’t work correctly and we couldn’t get the room to cool off. This was fixed the second day and we had no additional problems. The bed was terrible. It was like sleeping on a box spring. I couldn’t sleep the first night with the stuffy room and the uncomfortable bed. The pillows, however, were better than many hotels. The included breakfast was pretty standard. The staff were pleasant and kept everything in stock. No issues there. We had friends who met us there for a night. They got a standard king room. Theirs had a regular hotel bathroom and I tried their bed, because they said it was comfortable, and it was markedly better than ours, maybe just avoid room #518 where we stayed?Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel and would never stay there again. I’m really disappointed Marriott is ok with having a property like this under their umbrella? There is a Hampton Inn directly across the street. It looked really nice, like most Hamptons. I would definitely stay there if I needed to be in Downtown Louisville again. I actually checked into moving after the first day, but due to the short notice, the room rate was $80 more per night. I wanna say it was +10 or 20 per night when I made the reservation. I had never had an issue with a Marriott before, so I figured why spend the extra money. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Spend your money elsewhere.

Reasonably priced hotel for being downtown. The hotel room was clean and laid out very well for three people. The free breakfast has enough options for everyone's taste.
