The food was incredible - the bread was especially amazing. The service was top notch. My only note is that the noise level was high, and I do like a more private seating situation at restaurants.

One of our favorite restaurants in the Louisville area. Our server was in training but did a great job. We sent back our leftovers to be boxed up to take home and then were missing some of our food when we got home with our doggy bag. The rolls have been replaced with a new bread and candle butter. Disappointing as the rolls and butter previously were AMAZING and are no longer offered. Both of our steaks were a little over peppered and had A LOT of black peppercorn all over them. Someone was a little too generous with seasoning tonight.

This place is fantastic! As soon as we walked in the door we received a warm and immediate greeting from the hostess and what ended up being our server, Patrick F. We were quickly sat at a booth. The atmosphere is amazing from decor, to romantic lighting to music selection and volume. Patrick was attentive throughout our entire meal and excellent at thoroughly explaining the food and drink menus. Our service was at a perfect pace and our food was on point from taste to presentation!

Decided to bring some vendors out for a business dinner. The food was absolutely spectacular and the drinks were as well. All around a great experience and my vendors were very impressed. I would highly recommend steak and bourbon!I would highly recommend the seared halabate if you don't eat steak, it was delicious! The carrot cake was to die for as well.

Beautiful place and great food! A little pricey so be prepared to spend some money. Worth it though, I'll say that!

When I am in Kentucky, specifically by the Louisville area, I have to go here. If you want amazing food, great service, and some of the best drinks in town; Steak & Bourbon it is. Also, definitely get the bread that comes automatically before the meal it's like a birthday ? cake. All the staff were exemplary and were always attentive. If you can't get to your table and there is a wait still at the aweome bar, they have it by the kitchen. Also, don't forget to tip your amazing bartenders there and settle up with them. They did have probably one of the best old fashions I had all week.Parking: It was a weekend night. They are busy because they are great. You may not get close parking, but you will need to walk off the meal.

Let me first off say my wife loved this place her meal was excellent but mine on the other hand was well below expectations. The bread and flaming butter was a nice touch and the spinach and artichoke appetizer was real good the sides we had included the loaded bake potato which I have had better and the cream corn burlee was pretty good but my 14oz medium ribeye steak was one of the toughest steaks I have ever eaten at 57 dollars for it. The flavor was good but not way worth the price we paid for this steak. My wife would go back but I am on the fence to ever go back.

Great service, horrible dining experience. I ordered a steak medium well, recieved it bloody and mooing (like rare!)... sent it back, they put the same steak back on... recieve it again STILL bloody and mooing. They start an entirely new steak, everyone was finished eating. I didnt want to eat sides, I wanted my steak so, I didn't get to eat. That's great they took it off the bill but, to have that big of a mess up with such a high ticket price and recieve final food when the whole table is done ruined my experience. Will not go back.

Those that had the short rib were very very happy. The shepards pie and french onion soup were also enjoyed. The halibut I was told was OK. And my petite filet lacked flavor, but was tender.

My husband and I went while we were in town this week. was blown away with how good the entire experience was. So much so we came back the following night. All of the steaks are gluten free and most of the sides. With the steak, much to my surprise it was seasoned well and even came with the butter topping. Unlike so many other places that bring the steak out with no seasoning. We also got the goat cheese mushrooms that went so well with the steak. Love this addition! Don’t pass them up! My side was loaded mashed which again, no regrets! Full of butter and flavor! For an appetizer we got the crab topped deviled eggs. Never had anything like them but they were worth it. Multidimensional flavor with every bite! This is one of the best restaurants I have been to across the country and I am just in awe! I can’t recommend you enough that you make going to this place a priority!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

New pre-meal bread served with a candle in the middle was so good, it could have been our desert. The appetizer was very good as well. All three steaks cooked to desired level and all three delicious and the sides were equally tasty. There was live music (a fellow playing a saxophone) but his volume was not overwhelming for conversation and he added a nice touch to dinner. Staff were professional and service oriented.

S and B has become one of my favorite steak restaurants over the past three years. Love the ambience, the cocktail selection, and the service. A new twist was the dinner rolls with a butter candle. Unfortunately, on this occasion, which is usually not the case, my ribeye steak was almost inedible. Very tough, full of tough sinewy tendinous structures. Overcooked. Should have sent back, but such a hassle to all of dinner party. Loaded potato was not loaded. A touch of sour cream and 3-4 bits of bacon. Broccoli was undercooked. I hope this was the exception and not a new trend.
