Rib tips are seasoned to perfection and the baked beans are always steaming hot. You get big portions for cheap. You can tell they cook with love because the food is very delicious and could be sold for double what they are charging.

Great ribs and sides. This is a BBQ stand with no seating. Staff on phone and at window were friendly. A half rack was plenty meaty for 2 adults and they were falling off the bone tender.

I've been eating Stevie J's barbecue for 15 years now and he never lets me down great food and they give you a lot for the price it's well worth it this place is a must try trust me.

This is only regarding customer service. I don’t live in the area but I try to come on Saturdays to support and grab a snack before I get on the highway. Yesterday the parking lot was filled. People standing around the window. The lady that came to the window never said they were closed. I walked closer to the window and she just slammed it instead of saying “ we are closed” or “we are out of food”.
There was no conversation had I just walked away because a simple we are closed verses ignoring someone you can’t miss is very rude and unprofessional

Delicious hole in the wall bbq joint! We got the half chicken, sausage links, rib tips, potato salad and beans. Split between two people.. it didn’t stand a chance! So good! Very friendly staff. Fresh, hot and Tasty.

Let me just say this I've had barbecue before but the way this barbecue taste and flavor of the meat is juicy well cooked and the customer service is also good as well, I have been too this spot twice in one one week and this is my new spot of barbecue

One of the best places in Louisville to get some old school smoked BBQ, and it is cash only. There's no sitting area which isn't a problem for me. We've been getting BBQ from him for years and never had any complaints. You get a good portion of meat for the price. My mom and I shared a extra large size of tips with BBQ sauce on the side, and still had leftovers. If you're a sauce person ask for the sauce on the side. It was under $20 and they fill the container up.The tip pieces were meaty, smoked and seasoned nicely. You know it's good when people are willing to stand in line for it. But, get there early bc once they sell out they close up for the day. My suggestion would be to call in your order to bypass the long line, and see if they still have your food available, bc they do sell out often. The sides are pretty small, and wasn't really much to write home about, but the meat always hits the spot.

I had my first visit yesterday, service was great, polite, friendly and informative. I ordered the rib tips & two sides. OMG the tips were so good and smoky, I didn’t even eat the two sides after eating a large rib tip portion. I will be back to taste the ribs!! Cash Only though ☹️
