During our visit to Louisville for the GAMA trade show, we had the pleasure of dining at The Fat Lamb for a business dinner, and what an incredible experience it was! From the moment we stepped in, the laid-back atmosphere of The Fat Lamb enveloped us. The cozy yet chic decor and welcoming ambiance set the stage for a memorable evening. The hustle and bustle of the city seemed to fade away as we settled into our seats, ready for a culinary adventure. Our waitress, Heather, immediately made us feel at home with her friendly demeanor and impeccable service. She ensured our drinks kept flowing and guided us through the menu with expertise. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the food. Each dish that graced our table was a masterpiece, but the standout for me was the Black Vinegar Braised Beef Short Rib. Oh, where do I begin? The beef was succulent and tender, practically melting in my mouth with each bite. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the tanginess of the black vinegar complementing the richness of the meat. It was undoubtedly one of the best meals I had during my entire stay in Louisville. But the culinary delights didn't stop there. Every dish we tried, from appetizers to desserts, showcased the skill and creativity of the chefs at The Fat Lamb. Each plate was a work of art, as delicious as it was visually stunning. As the evening progressed, we were treated to another delightful surprise. The manager, Jay, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Not only did he oversee every aspect of our meal with precision, but he also ended the night by crafting some incredible shots for us, adding an extra touch of fun and camaraderie to the evening. In conclusion, The Fat Lamb exceeded all expectations and left a lasting impression on us. With its laid-back atmosphere, impeccable service, and exceptional cuisine, it's no wonder this restaurant is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Whether you're in town for a trade show or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, The Fat Lamb is a must-visit destination in Louisville, KY.

The food was awesome. There were a ton of vegetarian options to choose from. All of the flavors in all our choices were delicious and well balanced. Wish I lived closer so we could go back often!

The service was fine; quick, competent and friendly. But each component of the meal was lacking. Salad was downright untasty. The server asked me if I'd like shrimp with it and I asked for 4. When i got the bill, I found the shrimps were $9.00 each. ( and not very tasty at that) On top of all this was an "Automatic " 20% tip. Which shows as much taste as their cuisine. Overall; mediocre food at exhorbitant price...My advice is, avoid this place.

Outstanding food and service. We unknowingly walked in during restaurant week but the hostess offered us a seat at the bar. How fortunate that we could be seated… this was easily one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in recent years. The food was excellent quality. No corners were skipped. They’re using the best ingredients here and it shines through the expertly prepared dish. The cocktails were divine. The gentleman behind the bar was witty and personable. He made our visit all the more enjoyable.

Overall, my 2 friends and I loved our meal at the fat lamb. The brussels sprout appetizer was delicious. I thought the prices were a bit on the high side for the size of the portions, and relative to other restaurants in the highlands - But for a special occasion, this a great option for a night out.

Fat Lamb never disappoints but all three appetizers on their Louisville Restaurant Week menu were incredible: spicy whipped feta, risotto and feta balls in Italian sauce, and artichokes in savoy sauce. We all jumped on risotto with short ribs, so rich, creamy, and plentiful as our entrees. Hats off to Chef McGarity for raising the bar on Louisville dining and for being recognized as a James Beard Finalist. .

Was a little disappointed in our experience here, the food was just ok and the service was the same. Both the mocktails were very bitter, the lamb meatballs were not bad but not amazing, my partner enjoyed the goat cheese appetizer but I felt it was lacking. Both the entrees were decent (scallops and pork chop) but not worth $50 a head, more like $30 an entree. Overall it was just overpriced for the quality.

My wife and I went for Valentines Day. It was our 2nd time there. Our server made great recommendations, the short rib was delicious and wine pairing was spot on. Chef Dallas did an amazing job cooking. The only negative was getting a $35 parking ticket in their lot. Not sure if we will go back due to the parking situation.

I ate the 3 course special & everything was fabulous, but especially the spinach & feta dish! My friend loved the lamb chops & beet salad. Our service was great, and the service especially great, as one of our party is 96 and not very mobile. They helped him in and out, and even suggested that next time we should call early and request the small private alcove just to the left of the front door, since the noise was deafening. In fact, we could not hear each other to talk at all; otherwise, everything would have received the highest level. (There was a table of women we would love to have seated in the parking lot, they were so loud.) I especially appreciated the main special of pasta perfectly done; not mushy. Not something we can afford often, but the food was great. On s separate note, I wondered if the chef with the long hair & beard should have had some kind of hair restraints. Would the Health Dept. have required it?

Wonderful first experience at The Fat Lamb. The food was flavorful and delicious. The Old Fashioned was spot on. The accolades for the chef and high restaurant ratings are well deserved.

Both food and service (waitress = Ellen) were excellent. We were one table separated from open kitchen and did not hear pans clattering, raised voices. The special, sea bass with fingerling potatoes, was exceptional, as were the lamb chops. Yes, will be back.
