There are like ten Walgreens on Shelbyville road, they're all understaffed, not stocked, and unpleasant, but this one is actually the worst of all of them, which is remarkable.

Update: Not only did they refuse to deliver medications because I have a medicaid insurance plan, but they also have not released the prescription so that another pharmacy can fill it. I asked them, and they were asked by the new pharmacy. Creating barriers for disabled people to access medication is dangerous and irresponsible.
Pharmacy refused to deliver my medications because I'm on Medicaid. When I asked what disabled people do to get their meds he suggested that I get a friend or family to drive me. First, not everyone has friends and family to do labor for them for free like running errands (Or provide child care, thx JD Vance). Apparently it never occurred to this pharmacist that disabled people need access to their medication even when friends and family and Uber aren't options. After some back and forth, it was explained that this was a Walgreens decision, not a Medicaid decision as it was originally explained to me. So I will be using a different pharmacy. One that is further away and more expensive. "Some people were misusing it" is not an acceptable reason to take access away from disabled people. God forbid someone gets a little extra help who didn't need it.

I have not used the pharmacy at this location, but the store side is clean, well stocked, and the staff were friendly.

Please explain to me what your pharmacy's "Circle of Trust" is?I called and asked to I could have my doctor call in my prescription at this location and the pharmacist and/or tech told me that because I wasn't in their "circle of trust" then they would not be able to fill my prescription. When I asked what that meant they disconnected the phone on me, that part may have been a mistake but when I asked other Walgreen employees at other locations, they said that it's is a made-up tactic that they think that store is using to not take on more customers in their pharmacy. After dealing with so many bad pharmacies, the workers tend to act like they are in such a position of power over you that they can act as bad as they want. Not all of them are like that, but the majority of Walgreens pharmacies I've gone to, aside from my current location at Bauer & Frankfort, has always acted this way.

Had a completely unprofessional call with “pharmacist” HA0 BUI”. Mid-sentence, he hangs up on me. Unbelievable. I’m in healthcare as well and you just don’t do that. No wonder store has such poor ratings. The new manager, however, was very nice.

They close before the posted closing time. I walked up there from my house several minutes before the closing time, yet they were already closed. Don’t waste your time.

I visit this store often since it’s in walking distance to me. Many times lately including tonight, the store has been closed with the doors locked 1-2 hours before closing time. On Sunday 1/8 I walked up at 6pm to see it closed when they are supposed to be open until 10. Not sure what’s going on but I assume they need to pay the employees more.

Ordered ornaments yesterday...called from work,talked to mike...he said call back in 15 minutes...when i called back he said my order was ready...get call this morning saying that they dont have the ability to make the ornament and canceled order...store is .5 miles from my home , but ill travel farther ,never going to this store again

As a physician I am typically on hold for more then 10 minutes to phone in a script. Despite the location being convenient for my Clifton/crescent hill patients I now direct them to CVS in the highlands. It’s frustrating that I can never get through to the pharmacy.

I’ll make sure I call corporate about this location and how unprofessional their closing employees are leaving customers locked out when there is still time before closing. Knocking for them to open and they laugh. As a person who goes to this location every single day, saw some of the peoples true colors. I honestly this location doesn’t deserve any respect from their customers. And some should be fired. I will be coming in to firmly discuss my disappointment with the management and will reach out to corporate.

Pharmacy filled wrong prescription three times even after adding notes that the specific generic was ineffective and made me sick. The third time in row, the pharmacist admitted, "there's a note in your file, but sometimes the pharmacist on duty doesn't read the notes," which could have been life-threatening to me if I hadn't noticed.I auto-refilled the prescription four days before my last dosage, but it wasn't actually filled until the day I took my last dosage. When I expressed the concern of me being without my medication for four days, the pharmacist reassured me they would have the presciption next day, then I got a voicemail the next day stating the prescription wouldn't be ready for four days, which made me ill enough to have to go to my doctor.
