When I had to take my pet to the Emergency VET due to a seizure- Westport Animal Hospital refused to provide test results from visits to the Emergency VET, told me to come in the next morning to pick up - my dog passed that night. Most other vets would have faxed or at least spoken to the ER vet. They refused.

Dr. Mitchell is an excellent Vet! My 9 yr. old Terrier mix was getting listless and kept stalling when on a walk. Dr. Mitchell took one look at him and said he had a low thyroid. Confirmed with a blood test, prescribed Thyroxine, Fred is now active and leads me on a walk!

This vet is very low price, happy it was affordable, emergency came up and my dog needed a 1,200$ surgery he billed me which was great at least I thought I paid every chance I got, when I got down to oweing 400$ I needed to bring a dog in. He called me up and said hey I heard you want to bring a dog in I said yes sir he said take it somewhere else, I was like sir I was paying the other half in 5 days he said I don't care , I said sir in my defense my son was diagnosed with cancer ithe beginning of this year and now my husband I've been trying to save there life I'm trying here he said point blank I don't care, let me tell you I should of stopped seeing him when he done a surgery on my son's dog and he said we can spray her while we are in there we said no, we will bring her back and he DID IT ANYWAY. SHE ALMOST DIED and he said he felt bad and didn't charge us the 600$ bill when we could of sued him but no we didn't ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND DONT CARE. any Humana being would have compaction and make arrangements for someone's tradgy but no just take IT he said some where's else and by the way Robin has a bad no caring adduitude

Some of the worst veterinary care I’ve ever seen. They did not do blood work or an x ray prior to operating on a 13 year old dog, and they didn’t even remove all the dog’s broken and diseased teeth in the operation. They missed several and he will need another operation. And then they were rude and actually yelled at the dog’s new owner when she asked for his medical records.

Dr. Mitchell is a great vet. I took my dog to 2 different vets but their diagnosis and treatment did not work. He knew what was wrong and told me just to call if the treatment worked or bring him back. Love this vet. Honest fair and compassionate

Dr.mitchell is always so sweet, kine, and courteous with the animals and their owners. My moms animals go to him and I've been taking mine there as well and he has been nothing but kind and easy to communicate with. As well, he also has reasonable prices and makes it easy to pay at the end. A couple years back my cat went to him for organ failure and he was constantly on top of communicating with me and letting me know how she was. She made it out and is 7 years old now and thriving, you wouldn't even know she'd been sick before.

Meet Kobe. Today Dr Mitchell pulled all his rotted teeth and administered all his annual shots. Kobe left the office wagging his tail, ate a big meal when he got home and just took a spirited walk around the neighborhood. Couldn’t be happier - we’re patients for life! Thank you Dr Mitchell!
