Great experience— the selection was so good. Highly curated, but still something for everyone. Will definitely be making another trip from Indy to go again.

I was eating brunch across the street at Sarino and my girlfriend and I started wondering why all these people kept stopping at this store to look at stuff. So after brunch we walked over and into What The Lou and I see why people were stopping! There was such a trove of treasures to behold! CDs and Vinyls VHS and DVDs and vintage clothes and oddities and all sorts of throwbacks playing on old CRT TVs. Def. good vibes. Got some new CDs for my car that should hold me over the next decae.

What the Lou offers used/vintage clothing for men and women. You will also find collectible items or knick knacks that bring nostalgia. Most items are t-shirts, sweatshirts and sweaters for a street wear vibe. I noticed a lot of sports and university items, so if you are looking for more to add to your closet, you're likely to get lucky. They did offer a "fill a bag" price for items in the back room, but these items weren't in as good condition, so really hit or miss. Friendly, helpful service the day we visited. Street parking available. We visited a smaller store in the Highlands, but this location is much bigger for those that love shopping this clothing style.

What does Lou is a very cool unique nostalgic trip down memory lane. My wife and I were in here and visited and saw a bunch of cool wrestling and sports memorabilia. It made me feel like it was 1994 all over again. Definitely an awesome store please go check it out support your local businesses

Great locally owned store specializing in 90's popular fashion and other media items. Also a good selection of Louisville-centric items also. Many local artists have items on display and for sale in the store. Friendly store service and great location to walk to other local business for food and drinks. Parking is easy to find without paying a meter. They even sports selection of retro video games, comics, tapes, CDs and vinyl music.

This shop is a must add on your list of nostalgic vintage adventures! In my experience, the owners are knowledgeable and friendly. You really never know what you’ll find because their selection is constantly being updated with new to you things. There’s clothing, records, toys, home goods, comic books, dvds, cds, vhs tapes, art and more! Some things are local too so just ask. I will say the prices for what I’ve bought were all very reasonable.
