If it was possible to give zero stars I would. From start to finish a disaster. First they delivered a cage inside of a shell and told me my belongings would be on because it's stored inside. Um ok so if something falls between the huge metal wire rack then I'm SOL. I made them send me a regular shell, which of course was more money, which negates using them because they were cheaper.Fast forward my belongings were supposed to be in KY from FL in 7 days, try 3 weeks. Then when I called to have it delivered they said they can't put it on grass so I would need to lay concrete, gravel, or pick up the items from their warehouse. That completely defeated the purpose as I was going to use it for storage for a month on site. Now I'm trying to get it delivered and they don't have a time frame for me. Then after the 3rd cal the day of delivery they say, between 7-10pm and will cal an hour before. So at 9:05pm I call and they say they say it won't be delivered today and they aren't sure when it will be. I flew in town to have this delivered, at this point they should pay my hourly rate for waiting around on them and not even having the decency to call me. Worst communication ever.

ONE MONTH LATER, my containers were still in Louisville. I started making many calls and requested supervisors after 10 business days. Got multiple promises from customer service and two messages that my containers were In Transit. When pushed to confirm with dispatch Friday I was told it was confirmed. When pushing today, the containers had NOT been handed over to a carrier. Now I am told they were picked up today. The local warehouse crew is terrific, worked with me to make sure the containers were picked up so I could leave town and head to my new home. The Customer Service people are well trained and professional. They do their best and I believe they are giving me the information available to them (though it is faulty). The Logistics is disconnected and failing. 30 days later, the containers were still sitting at the origin warehouse. They are unable to complete the job.

This is hands down the most frustrating company I've ever dealt with. To their credit they showed up on the dates and times they were supposed to. Other than that every single step of the process has been horrendous.They DO NOT answer the phone EVER!! Trying to confirm that they were actually going to show up was the worst experience ever. I called probably 50 times before someone answered because they never called to confirm my dates/times. Luckily the person delivering my crates called from a cell phone because he was the only person that would communicate.Here we are 2 months after pick up and surprise surprise as many others have complained about they've changed my credit card $390 for what, who knows? The only thing I know for certain is I'll have to deal with it through my credit card company because zippy shell will never answer their phone.

If you elect to go with these guys instead of paying a few bucks more for more a more reputable place prepare to NOT be able to reach them, ever. There is only one lady that seems to be coordinating this cluster, and she is allergic to answering phones or returning voice mails. Days I tried. Days. the only semi reliable way to reach her is by spam calling nonstop until she finally deems it too annoying to not answer, and grace you with her melodious voice. This is already an annoying arrangement, made worse when they actually have possession of your stuff and you want it back, but are at her mercy for when/if she ever elects to call you back or pick up (but billing you for those days nontheless!) When I finally got through and had them bring the trailer with my stuff back, the driver informed me he is the only driver the company has, and, with it being thursday, and him being off during the weekend, I would have to have the trailer in my driveway until monday. OK, fine. On monday after the trailer was still sitting in my driveway, not allowing my use of my driveway, I texted the driver directly and was told he was food poisoned or something, and it would not be picked up on monday. OK. It's tuesday afternoon now, I left a voicemail on the main 'customer service' line of this place, since noone is picking up, because, of course, they aren't.... and the driver is not answering his txts either. What a pain in the rear. never again. only bright side is I didnt get anything broken in the process of storage, like some other customers, but mainly because i stored no thing fragile.

It has been a month. We moved 5 hours away. Our things are still not in the state and we have been told that a delivery date is unknown and cannot be committed to. As a result, we are forced to live in a hotel since we will not have our bed or any other furniture. Completely unacceptable. Our things are half a day's drive away. It's been a month. Figure it out.

This was by far the worst moving experience of my life, and I moved to Iraq for over a year. The delivery of the "trailer", and that's in quotes because it was a shipping container on a flatbed...not a trailer pulled by a truck like I was told...went meh, other than it not being the shipping apparatus I was told. They picked it up on time and communicated events with me. Then, it all went quiet...until I called 17 days later...well beyond the allotted transit time, to see where my stuff was. I moved 1500 miles across the country by the way and got charged a healthy amount for it. I was transferred 4-times until someone (probably by accident) let slip my stuff was still at the service center where I moved from! I got a text the next day saying my stuff was on its way...curious? Then I got an email 2-days later saying it had arrived at the destination service center...only took 2-days of transit???...someone messed up. I tried countless times to contact someone and was passed around several times (and on hold for hours) until I left multiple voicemails. A full 32-days later, I got my stuff delivered. This caused hardships for my family and me, and Zippy Shell has done a terrible job of trying to make this right...WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

Terrible customer service, they promise one price and then play the shell game. The customer service at the Louisville office and the corporate office are the worst.

It's a shame 0 stars is not an option, this company is so disorganized and horrible with customer service. They quote you a low estimate and then they start adding charges. They have no clue how many containers you need for a household move, they undershoot that estimate and then show up and say "seems like you are going to need more containers".

This was the worst experience I have ever had moving. Not only were they late by 2 hours to load our items and 3 hours to unload them. They also damage $12,000 worth of furniture including my wedding dress and now the local office will not return my phone calls or text messages. The insurance claim procedure has been a nightmare, no communication, rude individuals, lack of process. The actual movers did their best however management has no concept of customer service. I will warn everyone to never use Louisville zippy shell.

Best storage business in town! Clean and upkept storage facility at a great deal with tremendous customer service. My job requires the use of a lot of storage facilities in and around town, and none can compare to my experience with Zippy Shell.

Affordable and professional. The service was great. Drop off was on time and pickup was as well. All of my belongings were secure and returned safely to my new property.
