If something you could not find at other stores you will find it here. Smells like a pet store, but if you're an animal lover you will understand. I think they do grooming here also, next time I'll ask and repost.

E&L pets has been a part of the community for a long time now. I remember them first coming to Madisonville and I thought that was cool because I always heard their commercial on the radio. I've visitedE&L pets several times and they never fail to have aquarium tubing and air stones/pumps, and everything else you would need to get a freshwater aquarium up and running. Last time I went they didn't have anything for saltwater. Their prices on some things were a little higher than what I could find online but I was paying for having it in-hand same day, which is nice. I think they also sell feeder mice for reptiles and they have a few permanent petsin their store that are not available for purchase. I used their services to re-home a small Indian Ring Neck parrot and they were able to take the bird same day and display it in the store until it sold (which I really appreciate). Included are some pictures from their Facebook page:

Can't believe the horrible conditions in which the parrots and small mammals are living in. You have no business selling anything other than fish in the middle of nowhere town Kentucky. I mean there aren't even any exotic vets for people to take their bird or ferret to if they get sick. What's the point in making a buck off these suffering animals

The customer service was spot on. I was asked if I needed help when I came in and I told him I would later and he came back right on time to assist with the fish that my daughter wanted. I had a few feeding questions and they were very helpful.

Most employees are nice but one was rude to me and my husband over a pet we got in the past. We came in to get a simple item. That employee has horrible customer service so we took our business elsewhere

Would give -5 out of 5 if I could. This store is like every other retailer, cares about nothing other than their money. Anyone with the slightest of a brain and compassion knows you should not have this many beardies in this small of a tank, let alone even have them together. Not to mention the employees are all stuck up snooty & rude which is funny given how little they know about the animals they’re wrongly housing/selling. Praying for this businesses downfall because it’s companies like this that don’t deserve to be open.

This is animal abuse. Bearded dragons CANNOT be housed together. The lighting is atrocious, and the size of the tank for 4 fully grown dragons is WAY WAY too small. This proves they either do not know how to care for pets, or are not willing to provide the necessary habitat for their pets. this is disgusting and i would not recommend you support this establishment.

Absolutely appalling conditions for their exotic pets. I don’t think i’ve ever seen such negligence and careless for pets from any other pet store. 3 full grown bearded dragons in a 40 gallon tank without proper lighting for “breeding” is just deplorable. I wouldn’t even keep a single, juvenile dragon in that tank, it is so horrendously irresponsible. Don’t sell reptiles if you don’t know how to care for them.

Not sure why they think it’s ok to house multiple Bearded Dragons together in one small tank. Even novice beardie owners know that these are solitary reptiles that absolutely should NOT be housed together. And yes- I speak from experience. I have co-owned a pet store, owned multiples bearded dragons over the years, as well as worked with beardie breeders. Along with that, they’re using coil UVB light which is inadequate for ONE dragon let alone FOUR! These animals hoard resources- hence why you see them climbing on top of each other. This is just completely atrocious and also giving bad information to future owners. Absolutely pathetic to see professionals not do their research on how to properly care for their animals!!
