The employees at the Madisonville Goodwill are always kind, helpful, and respectful. The store is clean every time I visit, and tonight was no exception. I stopped in to buy some things for different causes I support, and while I was there, I met a young man who used to be homeless. Hearing part of his story — and knowing he now has a job and stability — reminded me how important this organization is.
I want to spotlight two employees, Hannah and Tricia, who helped me with my purchase. They were very kind young ladies, assisting me and several other customers even though the store was busy. Their patience and professionalism stood out.
Goodwill uses the money from donated items and store sales to support programs that help people find jobs, learn new skills, and become more independent. They offer job training, career counseling, classes, and support for people rebuilding their lives — including those who have experienced homelessness or unemployment.
