Pendery Sports Park is a usual sports park with lots of greenery adjacent to the Ohio River. It features a flat walking trail around soccer and baseball fields, a picnic area with reservable shelters, and a pretty good playground for kids. The park is dog-friendly, requiring dogs to be on a leash. There are several different baseball and soccer fields. Parking can be very crazy when a lot of games are going on, with the lot filling up quickly and people using overflow areas. Leaving can be a disaster if games end at the same time, creating a long line to exit; on inconvenient days, a passing train can increase the wait time. For games, seating is not always offered—some fields have picnic benches or metal tiered seating, while others have none, so bringing chairs is recommended. The only restrooms on the baseball side are multiple port-a-potties near each field, which are wheelchair accessible. A concessions stand is sometimes open, offering basics like drinks, nachos, soft pretzels, slush puppies, chips, and candy, but it is not very reliable and is closer to the front of the park.
