It's not much to look at but the food is great. The parking area for a big truck is limited to maybe 20 spots.

I have always had great experiences here (20 + years), but recently this place has been going downhill. Tonight was the final straw. I ordered the breaded fish, french fries and fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were the only thing that tasted good. The fries tasted like they had been cooked earlier in the day and then microwaved to be heated ( but I ate them because I was hungry) The fish was undercooked and basically just nasty (I had 2 pieces and ate like 2-3 bites of one piece). I wasn't even able to eat the fish at all. I complained and nothing was done, no discount on the fish or anything. I actually ended up in the bathroom, vomiting before I left. The waitress was also rude. We came in as it was time for her to leave, apparently. Every time she would "check" to see if we needed anything, she would make a comment like "well I been here all day but can't leave until you do" or "I will be able to leave when you finish". I felt rushed.

Why are there so many liars? There was nothing good about this place. Old fashioned truck stop huh? Thank God for the improvements in today's truckstops. Strike 1, it's looks just as crappy inside as it does outside. Strike 2, shame on the state of Kentucky for allowing smoking in food establishments. But worse than that is this place decides to take advantage of that and allow people to fill the air with their secondhand smoke so you can't breath. Strike 3, the food was horrible. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Could only eat five bites and couldn't take anymore. Not only did it looke like but also tasted like something I might regurgitate later on. Plus it was only lukewarm. Had to walk away and go across the street to Hardee's. Now I hate Country Pride and Iron Skillet just as much as the next driver. But let's not tell lies about how great this place is. I'll never come back to this place again.

This place doesn't look like much but let me tell you, it is great! Staff are excellent and courteous. The food in the restaurant is on point! We are omelettes and fried taters. Biscuits and gravy were also delicious. Truck parking for free. Showers, diesel and a small general store. The sign is a little small but if you turn the way the sign tells you to, you'll see it.

My favorite restaurant ! Great staff and service always great plus huge portions and great food! Love their salad. It is a smoking inside place and i do not smoke but i love this place and think it is awesome that they still allow smoking inside. I love the USA and this place is the epitome of everything our forefathers stood for. God bless the USA and the DERBY!

I like the food here. I have never had a single complaint about the food. Our server the other day was great too ... She helped my mess with my brother. She wrapped up some "Fried Skunk" for him!!! My ONLY complaint is they allow smoking. YUCK! I understand it is a truck stop & truckers want the freedom to smoke as they enjoy their meal. However, for the vast majority of us who are non-smokers, I cannot give a higher rating.

People, seriously. Best food and service with a "sittin' in your neighbor" atmosphere around. I say kudos and props for hanging on to "freedom of choice." You're missing out on some of the greatest old school truck stop experiences of this century if you can't cope with old school life. Smokers, enjoy the same opportunities that non-smokers do, in that they like to sit around the table and have coffee, eat, kid with the waitress...for some folks this may be their minimal needs for outside human contact. There aren't many places that still permit smokers this pleasure. So, yes, fair warning to non-smokers that just can't get past that to enjoy the greatness of this place, please, move on down the road. Too many little pleasures in the unappreciated, non-politically correct circles have already been taken by the entitled so-n-so's. The point of this existence is co-operation, acceptance, tolerance and love. You, know, "Judge not lest ye be judged?" Y'all have , like, 98.7% smoke-free everywhere! Cut smokers some slack.

Always nice and even when they are busy you dont wait long. Cheapest gas prices around and my car still runs like i paid 20 cents more a gallon. While i was working in the area i had to fill up every other day so their prices were a big benefit.
