I didn’t go in, but my son did and I am surprised at the way he was talked to. My son liked something they had in the catalog but it wasn’t in the store. The rep he spoke with kept making comments about us being from Paducah and not being able to turn the suit back in time, then saying that he should go somewhere closer. We are in Murray a lot and that didn’t make a difference. After a few more of the salesman’s comments, my son finally agreed and made the comment “Mr Penguins has it all and probably cheaper” before he could even say anything else the person there said “well maybe you should go there then”. I asked him was it said rudely, or if it was a genuine suggestion and he feels like it was said in a rude manner. Before he walked out the door, the man asked… well are we doing it here, or you going to Paducah? My son said well I guess we are going to Paducah. The salesman said “oh well”. I am GLAD I was not with them. First of all: NEVER ASSUME that because my son is young that he didn’t have the money to get whatever in that store! Second, “oh well?” You pushed him out the door with your comments then ask is he still going to shop there… he says no, which is clearly what you wanted… and you say oh well??? Like his big day is insignificant to you people?! I would’ve went off. This is prom!!! Their moment to feel special. The least I would ask for is more patience and professionalism. I understand no one wants to hear that someone else is cheaper, I am a hairstylist and hear it a lot. However, I don’t respond to it like that. I try to accommodate, or make an honest referral to someone who I know that will help them for their price range. But my son NEVER said anything about the price until they kept on about it. I just expect kindness and I feel like that didn’t happen today. I would have called by they’re closed so I’ll definitely call Monday. I hate that people have to be made to feel like this. Never again. Shamefully this store was highly recommended. I am disgusted.

Usually tuxedo places will offer measurements for free if you have a wedding out of town. But they refused that for our kids. Seems like a small thing to help folks out. It’s not like we are renting a tux for a week from them so we can take it all of the way to our trip and back.

Ordered a Lilly Pulitzer dress online Tuesday morning and it arrived Thursday afternoon! Fantastic experience, with shipping updates provided throughout. The dress is perfect! Highly recommend!

I called for the True Grit Frosty 1/4 zip in an XS (they are sold out EVERYWHERE) Dan's had one in stock and they sent it out the same day!!! This store is great and the customer service is the BEST!!! thanks for being such a GREAT store!!

Be VERY careful buying anything from Dan's. I got a pair of shoes as a gift, they didn't fit and the store didn't have any that would fit, refused to give a refund even with receipt, by the way, these cost $153.xx at Dan's but the same shoes are $90 to $100 at other stores, when I asked for help from the manager, he wouldn't even talk to me about it. We have spent several dollars there over the last few years, but they better enjoy the profit they made on this purchase because they won't get anymore of my money. If you enjoy overpaying and being treated poorly, this is the place to shop!
