Had to stay here when our furnace went kaput late one night. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms however were very worn and the bed was the most uncomfortable i’ve slept in for a very long time. I didn’t sleep a wink.

Booked weeks ahead, arrived to be told it's full. No apologies, no alternatives. Worse, witnessed discrimination against POC at check-in. Others had smooth experiences, but mine was tainted by prejudice. Disheartening. I should've listened to my POC friends who warned about such issues. Everyone deserves fair treatment. Disappointed and unwelcome, this hotel needs serious improvement in both professionalism and inclusivity.

Hello this is home away from home!! This is a very clean, accommodating hotel. It smells fresh when you come in. It is very modern decor. I visited one in Green Bay,WI. I thought that it just was rare because it was the same as this one. So, this is my second stay at this chain. They are all the same!! The staff is amazing, prompt, friendly and informative. The place is impeccably clean great housekeeping team. They are managed well. When we came in we was greeted by the manager. The parking is always safe. The building is mod. A very cool place to be when away from home. There is a bar. My only suggestion would be to have a happy hour with live or really good music. A charcuterie board would be a great idea also! Get out of the pool come to happy hour with delectable snacks from the locals here goetta, meats, cheeses, pretzels. Cincinnati has a great German community that would cater to this for any hotel.

We stayed here over the weekend and was not impressed. We ended up switching rooms 3x because they were having issues with the hot water on several floors and by the 3rd time, the lady at the front desk begrudgingly switched us to a floor with no issues and gave no apology for the inconvenience or offer us a discount for having to load our stuff up and down the one elevator that was working that night.

Horrible experience overall, but only due to the general manager ‘Rob’. The owners and stakeholders of this property need to remove him from his position immediately. I have never been treated so badly, extremely unprofessional.Evening shift front desk manager with the dreds was wonderful. He was welcoming, nice, professional, personable, overall customer service great. Probably would be much better choice for the hotel as the GM instead of that other guy.We had a wonderful evening, swam in the pool, had a fantastic time with our children. And the snacks they offer on site to purchase was great. Our room — NOT great. We woke up this morning to NO HOT WATER in the shower and that was not good. We had 2 adults, 2 children to get ready for the day and called down to the front desk to ask for an extended check out and told them about the water situation. The sliding door to the shower did not work and was off track so we could not close the door for privacy to use the restroom. The general manager told us he had already given out all the extended check-outs and that we could not have an extended check out and they could move us to a different room to shower but we still had to be out by 11. Oh and the room phone did not work either, only on speaker so my children were hearing all of this. So he was willing to move us to a different room to shower but would have to be out by 11. That would have given us no time to get ready, as it was already 10. 1 hour to pack up switch rooms and get 4 people ready????? Impossible. Unreasonable. Shocking that this so called general manager was talking to us in the tone he was talking in, thus we told him he did not have to act like a prick and then he told us he was calling the police on us?!?!?!?! WHAT????? Why?? Go ahead we haven’t done anything wrong but I will not subject my children to this.We will never be back. I am a disabled Purple Heart veteran. This hotel offers disability accommodations it says and I didn’t need any accommodations, but just wanted hot water and a bathroom door that actually worked properly. ‘Rob’ ruined our experience. This is ridiculous and will be reported to the BBB.Oh and forgot. The closet door on one side wouldn’t open properly either.Which all this would have been understandable but not with how the GM treated us.Rooms: No hot water. Closet door inoperable, bathroom door off track, inoperable.Nearby activities: Didn’t get to enjoy due to not being able to shower before heading out for the day. The GM ruined our experience.Noteworthy details: Evening shift manager, dark skinned gentleman with dreads… he was great! Awful he has to answer to the GM whom obviously is incompetent in his position. Promote the dread guy and get rid of the GM fool.

Rooms are retarded. The bathroom door doesn't shut, instead would open back up, privacy is not a thing here, very inconvenient. The lights are annoying as when turned on, it would light up the entire room at night, who would design such things like that, sad. Rooms don't have a microwave but shared public microwave by the ice machine, and it's a very cheap microwave that looks like was purchased from offer-up for six bucks, sad. The beds are like solid rocks, you'll experience back-aches for sure especially if you'd be booked more than a night stay. Go spend your Benjamins elsewhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE! As a Bonvoy Gold Elite member, disappointment is an understatement on how poorly maintained and managed this property is. This was our first time visiting Newport and selecting this location was a no brainer because of its proximity to dining, entertainment, and recreation. On the first night we checked in, we were given a room that was not cleaned very well. There was urine on the toilet seat, stains on the bathroom floor, a dirty mirror, and broken shade (which meant that people in the parking lot could see directly into our room). I tried calling the front desk several times and there was no answer. So I had to go downstairs. They changed our room and we found that room to be not as clean as well. For the next few days, we had major issues with housekeeping. Even though we requested services with the actual housekeeper in the morning and with the front desk (TWICE) as a backup, our room was not touched! No fresh towels, no made up bed, and no clean shower or shower gel. Again, I called the front desk when we returned and no answer. I had to go downstairs, complain again and by that time the housekeeping staff had left for the day. The next day, we had the exact same experience with housekeeping and poor service. I just don't understand how a property can be so poorly managed. The only concession we were offered after a terrible experience for 3 days was $50 off of our bill. What an insult! Our stay was a complete waste of money. I hope they can get new management in place because there current mode of operations can't be sustainable.

This used to be my favorite hotel when coming to visit local family. It's on the levee, close to the river, lots of entertainment close by, and conveniently located. However, they've taken a nosedive recently. It started days before my stay began. I used the standard Marriott messaging system to request an upgrade. No response. I called the hotel. No response. I messaged the hotel the day of arrival saying that I would be late and to please keep my reservation. No response. But being a LOYAL Titanium member for almost a decade, I assumed everything would be fine despite this obvious misuse/abandonment of the Marriott system. That's where I was wrong. While spending time with my family, ROBBIE called and text me from his personal phone saying the hotel would cancel my reservation if I didn't arrive by 230am. Being deep into a great, LONG movie, I asked him why mobile checkin didn't work? His response is that this hotel doesn't honor mobile checkin and that if I wasn't there within 30 minutes, he would cancel my reservation. No offers to help, no offers to figure something out, just a get here or I'm deleting your reservation. After leaving the movie and going to AGAIN checkin, ROBBIE made this bad situation even worse. Instead of an apology for them not honoring Marriott's standards or answering any of my concerns, he greeted me as harshly as if I was an enemy. And when I asked him why I had to leave a movie with family to checkin to a hotel I had already checked into, his response was "I canceled your room" and "I'm calling the cops if you try to call the Titanium help line to get it resolved". I have never been so insulted by a Marriott branded hotel as I was by this place. If they treat a lifelong Marriott customer this way, imagine what they'll do to you if you book third party. Don't risk it, stay away from this hotel. There's MUCH BETTER options for just a few more points/dollars.

I usually don't stay at aloft. Very easy to get to. Lobby was fresh, clean and new. My room was clean, neat and cool when I walked in. Shower is the highlight of the room. Hot and vibrant! I didn't eat breakfast (cost is additional) but I did grab some snacks at night (cost is extra) and they have a large variety. There is parking directly across from the hotel. Easy to get to but be sure to check in first as you need the room key to access the garage and to use the elevator in the hotel. I liked it. I would come here again.

We stayed here primarily due to its location, and in that respect, it was great. We even got to see some fireworks on the Purple People Bridge our last night! That being said, I feel like this hotel has some customer service issues that should be addressed. The front desk people are friendly when they're helping you, no complaints there, but at any other time the staff alternates between being rude and just ignoring you entirely. Being told to "you can wait for us to be finished or find some other way to get upstairs" by employees that have decided to go up as the same time as you was strange. Also being told "the keys don't actually do anything in the elevator, except when the times when we decide they do" by yet another employee in the elevator (I think we rode the elevator ONCE without an employee honestly) was nonsensical and unhelpful. Good luck if you want to use the elevator during checkout time, as you'll be sitting there a while. After five minutes we just took the stairs. Who knows how long the other people waiting actually waited for, as they were there before us and after us. As for the room, weird choices, like the coffee maker being about 5 feet from the toilet, confusing light switches, and proximity to the apartments across the way (thanks, I do want to look out my window and see you watching TV in your underwear) just kind of made me feel like I was in a super cheap motel.

We stayed in room 428, and I am not joking when I say it smelled like cheese. Expensive, pungent cheese. Which is awesome when you're buying expensive cheese, but is horrid when you're trying to sleep.Other things we didn't like about this room: in the middle of the night, when you have to use the bathroom, your choices are to either relieve yourself in the dark OR turn the entryway light on, much to your partner's chagrin (WHY is there not a separate light for the actual bathroom?), the sliding barn door to the WC was loud as hell - we both woke in the middle of the night when the other used the bathroom. The only coffee option was cold and bitter at 9am, with only white sugar and half/half as the sweet and creamer options (boooo!).When we mentioned these things at checkout - we were told to contact Priceline (yes, i travel using priceline) for a partial refund or credit. But when I contacted Priceline, I was told the hotel needed to issue the refund and that we shouldn't have checked out and left - but I had places to be! It was such a hassle that I didn't pursue it.Bright side? The absolute best parking situation I've ever seen at a hotel. Literally across the registration lot! I could see my car, and IDC that it cost me $10.Will likely not return, although I wanted so much to like this hotel because of its convenient location to a music venue we love.

The hotel itself looks messy and disorganized, especially the front desk. My room has dirty floors and bathroom walls with dead bugs on the sink.

Staff was nice. Unfortunately our daughter got sick and we had to leave within a hour of checking in. No refund or reimbursement just see ya!
