Nutrition store review
I went to this store several months ago and bought a couple of things that I came to get. And you know how when you get to the register, there's things that are 'eye-catching'? The thing that caught my eye was Ginger Shots. See The Picture. Sometime soon after I made the purchase, I took a sip of the Ginger Shots and it Was NASTY. So now and then I would take a sip, sip, sip, here and there. Then last weekend I happened on an article about Ginger Shots and the healthy benefits of drinking it. I was already using echinacea for immunity, and this would eliminate needing that. I got so excited remembering, "oh yeah, I have about half a bottle of that". I chugged the rest of the bottle that turned out to be maybe 3/4 of it. And for the rest of the day, I was feeling like I was high on something like speed. It's not the 'high' that I was looking for but I found the Energy that I needed. That's what I paid attention to when I read the article that day. I previously asked my PCP to provide me vitamin B shots. She explained how she couldn't unless I had a vitamin B deficiency. Since I'd asked her before and she hadn't provided that explanation, now I understand. Even though I didn't have a deficiency I didn't feel the energy that I thought I needed day-to-day. She suggested I try vitamin D3. I was already taking D3 with my calcium so she suggested 2,000 mg. Tried that didn't work, nothing worked. Until I found these Ginger Shots. Just wondering if it might have been a fluke, I looked in my pantry and yep I had some ginger tea. It was the kind of loose tea in a pouch. The next day I put about half of the pouch in my cup to seep. The same thing as the day before. Zipping around the house getting stuff done... I had to get what I guess might be a daily supply of this stuff. Reading some more articles, I realized I better consult my PCP before taking anymore. In expectation that she would give me a go, I did some research on DIY Ginger Shots. I bought the bottles, the ginger, couple of lemons, I already had the turmeric and rest of the ingredients.”
“I love going to Whole Foods. Their selection is unlike no other store in the area. Plus, I can drop-off any Amazon returns while out shopping, all at the same location.”
“I’m usually not a big fan of corporate GNC as a whole, but Kieran, the general manager at this location, is an absolute rock star. Hands down one of the best managers and customer service experiences I’ve ever had anywhere. He’s knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely cares about helping his customers. This retail location is lucky to have him; he’s the reason I keep coming back.”
“If you don't know what to expect from a whole foods, they're slightly expensive, and each one is just a little different to cater to the local market and regional goods”
“Employee was attentive and gave some good recommendations. Lots of inventory in stock compared to GNC's stores in the Cincinnati area. Many of their prices double the same thing at Walmart or Kroger (ie Alani products) so I don't purchase certain items here.”
