Love that they have a stand for tying down merchandise and red flag long boards.

Ordered some baseboards online for in store pickup, when we arrived at the order pick up (I was the only one there) I waited 10 minutes for someone, never seen anyone, but there was tons of forklifts driving around, finally called the store which connected us to the order pickup department, the lady who answered, believe her name was Breanah? (Spelling?) was very unprofessional, when told we were there to pick up an order she said in a smart tone, “I didn’t know anyone was here”. she finally came from somewhere inside the store, again I was the only person in the order pick up, she said “you’ll have to wait a minute I’ve got to deal with the one out here”. It took another 5 minutes for her to drive a forklift about 10 yards to get the order, once the order was loaded there was no “thank you” “have a good day” nothing, just got on her lift and left…Menards…. Do better

careful in Owensboro. I purchased two advertised locks. advertised as same as Schlage $134 for $59. I had already purchased the $134 and had not installed. I picked up at the store. No similarities other than a keypad. prepaid and they wouldn't take it off my bill until I paid two $25 restocking fee's. $50 for them and I hadn't left the store. the manager wouldn't tell me his name and put his hand over his name badge so I couldn't see it. I just took the two cheap locks and took them to the Evansville store where I was given a $120 store credit. Just go to Evansville and stay away from Owensboro. Customer service said "not surprised" in Evansville.

Update- They have improved!
Some of the most unhelpful, unemotional workers I've seen in awhile. The store itself was alright, had everything we needed. But dang! Not a single smile, well maybe one but it may have been forced. Anyway, I realize it is Monday, maybe that's it. Maybe their pay sucks? I dunno. But, I do know, that we travel all over the country and people here seem to be miserable. Maybe it was because we finally had a sunshiny day today and they're stuck inside working. Well, we'll be back when we need something again. But give these guys some incentive, maybe a pizza party or something....

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! I have made my last purchase from Menards. 3 days in a row I have had issues with them. It first started with having issues trying to pay for my stuff. When I tried to use Apple Pay, it kept asking for a pin number to a credit card that doesn't have a pin. I asked them to type the card number in manually, but they refused because of "store policy." So they made me sit there and put in an online order while I was standing at checkout with over 20 items. After charging me an extra $12 processing fee for nothing, they processed it and I was finally able to leave with my stuff. The next day, I go to return something because it didn't work, and they hassled me over a receipt that I didn't have because it was an online order. I tried to explain it was an online order, and had the order number. They finally agreed to return it "without a receipt", but little did I know they were only going to refund about 75% of the actual cost of the item. When they handed me the gift certificate showing less than what I had paid, I questioned this. The very rude customer service girl told me it was because I didn't have a physical receipt. Again I argued, and when I could tell I wasn't getting anywhere, I ripped up the gift certificate and walked out to go to Lowes( which is 10 times the store Menards will ever be.) My husband called the store back about 15 minutes later and talked to one of their managers. He explained the situation, and told her that we left the pipe, and did not walk out with the gift card. The manager told us to come back within the next couple days and she would issue a full refund back to the card we used. My husband goes back in there to get the item refunded the very next day, and was told they couldn't do it. It had to be done the day before when we originally brought the item back in. He explained that's not what the other manager told us. They argued back and forth, and finally my husband asked to speak to the General Manager. He came up, and was immediately rude. He didn't offer any assistance other than saying there was basically nothing he could do. He kept saying, " thats against our store policy." We have spent thousands of dollars in there over the last month, and they choose to lose my business over an $8 piece of pipe. He asked to either receive the money back for the pipe, or give us the pipe back. The General Manager wouldn't do either. So basically we did not get a refund, or the item we paid for. I've had several issues with Menards returns before, but this is my final straw. I would rather drive 1000 miles any direction to any other hardware store, and pay 10 times the cost of any item, than to have to step back in Menards. STAY AWAY FROM MENARDS!!

I love going to Menards to just look around sometimes. I always find something that I need or want. Generally, the prices are great. I’ve never had an issue. But I would say that I have never really had an outstanding experience either. I don’t think I’ve ever had any notable interactions with any of the employees. But, overall, I think this is a good place to shop.
