My wife and I love Meijer, and when we moved to Georgia back in 2015, it was one of the things we missed most. Meijer has a large selection of pretty much anything you might want at competitive prices in line with other grocery stores. We still travel a few times a year and saw the sign for this Meijer location on our way through Owensboro while heading up North to visit my wife's family. It is one of our regular stops to stock up on non-perishable items on the way home, and we still find it to be a great place to shop. They have a large fresh produce section with quality items, and the meat and seafood departments are big and good. We try to pack a cooler with us to pick items up on the way home when it is functional to do so. My wife loves to browse the health and beauty section, but she never fails to find ladies' clothing items on clearance or special and picks up new items on virtually every visit we make. But, the best aspect of shopping at Meijer is the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. On our last visit, we used the self-checkout lanes, and I was having difficulty using my MPerks card. I hit the button for assistance, and the lady who arrived to help took full ownership of the problem. While I told her it was not a problem and probably a temporary glitch she called two other staff members to help find a resolution for us and make it right. That is service that is above and beyond any other store we visit. Our only problem with Meijer is that they do not have a store in Dawsonville, GA, or anywhere closer to us than Bowling Green, KY. If for no other reason, we continue to patronize Meijer due to their wonderful customer service and their great staff.

Each week the prices increase! It's hard to budget when prices are different from week to week. Also, the change in mPerks STINKS! I now have to spend twice as much to get the same rewards as before. This is all on top of changing 90% of the check-out to self-service. It doesn't matter the number of items. A shopper with a few items must wait behind those with full carts of groceries. I rarely see cashiers any more while employees manning the self-checkout areas aren't that friendly. I've taken to shopping elsewhere and only go to Meijer for something I can't get at other stores.

Don't buy the Meijer brand of corned beef. It tastes NOTHING like corned beef.....just beef. I was super disappointed this evening when I went to the trouble of creating an Irish dish. What a waste of time and money.

Suggestion: Require shoppers to wear masks. While shopping I spend half my time ducking and weaving around people and entire families just carrying on like it's a normal world. It isn't a normal world and people are dying. Meijer should do it's part in helping contain the pandemic that is spiking again. Take some notes from your neighbor Menards. They require masks and if you don't have one then you can purchase one for a dollar.

I like Meijer as a rule. Theyre way more expensive than Aldi's for produce and not significantly better quality but they have a better selection. I was looking for McIntosh apples for pie and figured I'd have a better chance finding them at Meijer. I did, kind of pricey at over a buck a pound and small but what I wanted so hey... Took them home to start peeling and what a bag of crap. First one out of the bag several bruises. Thought it might be just the one bad apple but Nope! It's the whole bag. By the time I got enough for a pie I was so pissed off I thought I'd write this review. So on top of being so small you peel and pare half the mass away, then you go to work cutting out the bruises. The one (yeah both pics are the same apple) I took a picture of isn't even the worst...more typical than not.

Hello to all, this is my first time writing a review so bare with me, an to the grammar police on here (pre pair yourselves lol) Last night my significant other calls me as I'm getting off of work to tell me we was out of milk. This is where my embarr(ass)ing but still humoring story began. I arrived at meijers at 12:50 am rushed threw the store grabbed my milk an a few other things that wasnt planned or budgeted for (some of yall might no the struggle of walking past the ice cream isle ) yeahhhh... so on my way to the check out I had the sudden erg , the kinda get to the bathroom now or it'll turn to a very shitty situation erg. Some people call it (prairie doggin) lol ...sorry not sorry... welp, I rushed to the bathroom , did my business, flushed then reached for the toilet paper... yeahh no.. no toliet paper. Sooo, I reached to under the stall left to me, guess what... no toliet paper an it is now 1:05am an I'm starting to panic, I was most definitely not getting up to waddle to the stall on the right, one, just eww an for two, not risking someone walking in to catch me with my pants around my ankles, I was already embarrassed enough lol.. soo the geniuse that I am. I pulled up meijers number on Google.. sure did. Some fella answered an I said calmly but still panicked an stranded "yes sir, Is there any females available?" He rudely said "well what is it your needing." I said ,"ok this is embarrassing but I'm in your females restroom stall 2 an have no toliet paper can you like sense some in to help me?" "Yes mam I'll send someone right away." :/ yep, thanks dude. Sooo it is now 1:20am an stilllll stranded so I call again.. no answer. Now I'm thinking they abandoned me, with no chance of survival.. waited another 2 minutes an in comes an angle sent straight from the Heavens above!!! She handed me 3 rolls from under the door even tho the toliet paper holder only holds two lol (trying to prevent the next victim I assume) I said " thank youuu, so so so much for saving me, I thought I was stuck in here forever." She said "sorry it took so long I had to get some from off the shelf" I guess she couldnt get into the custodial closet or something. An last but not least that concludes my very shitty adventure to meijers last night lol I wasnt going to share my story until my aunt convinced me so big shot out to you her an the sweet angel that saved me with her high dollar TP from off the shelf!! An a little tip to the dude whom answered the phone , cheer up butter cup.. theres no way in hell your night was an shittier then mine ;)

Great full service grocery store with more items than you may expect. Staff are friendly and eager to help. The day I visited the employee took me to the item that I was looking for. With a full service meat department and certified butchers on staff they were always happy to meet my special needs. The employees in produce have always been able to get my needs even if it has to be ordered.

Love the store...very clean and have most items I use. I do not like self checkout lanes, for I am not their employee. Also don't like that you have to buy 2,3 or 5 of an item to get the discount. I do love the over all service and item choices they over.

I love going there. There are some different items, and you can always find items on sale. The produce is excellent too.
